Evening all.
Well children were meant to be back at about 7 but DH brought them home at 5
Had the girlfriend in the car and instead of driving by the house he reversed down the road. Already told him that I don't plan on poking her eyes out. I am better of without him . " I said I may be your ex but I don't plan on hitting her." She is welcome to him!!
Anyway hven't got as much done as I plan. Always find I am less productive when they aren't here.
Had a nice lunch with my sister and my niece and have given DS and DD a BIG cuddleJanuary Grocery 11/3740 -
Thanks for the (re) welcome toottifrooti, I so need to be back!
Mind you today has been more of a flutter than a fly as I have been suffering on the back of last nights excessesso have done s&s's and laundry and a bit of baking. Later will go and watch DD in a show, Return to teh Forbidden Plant, so another night out. I want to be careful or I'll be going to get myself a social life

Hello everyone
I haven't managed to keep up with the thread much over the weekend, but..
Please can I have another star for bathroom/pc day and a 5th heart for glossing the stairs please?
The kids room did get done, but I didn't get chance to do the bedding due to grotty drying weather.
Just to add to the info re Swine Flu, I read this:
http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/health/article-1200533/As-swine-flu-deaths-begin-rise-heres-high-risk-guide.html
today which talks about what to look for in high-risk groups. Both my kids are asthmatic & DS is a bit slack when it comes to using his preventor inhaler, so I think a stern word in his direction is necessary!
Hope everyone has had a good weekend,0 -
Evening ladies,
Hope everyone is well, have only managed to catch up on the last 2 pages.
Rach - how is DH feeling? Must say i agree with Dusty that he shouldn't go in to work if he is not well.
Hope all the other sickies are on the mend.
Off for a potter, really tired after a late night at work last night. Will do the dishes and a quick tidy. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I did, thank you.. met new people, had lunch out.. was all very nice and grown up..
Good for you Piggers - all mums need a day off from being mum now and again. Hope the batteries are recharged for some fast & furious flying later?
We've done a bootsale this morning, and shifted lots of biggish stuff (hurrah), then a boys party this afternoon - now will put DS to bed and then fly myself.
Thanks for all the Ebay reminders - used them as get ready for bootsale reminders and it helped so very much!
Cake sale at school tomorrow - so make cakes!
Connect new printer (without DS's "helping"!!)
File the filing..
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
Toots - I used to live in Sleaford some years ago, and I do know Ancaster.
Rach - I understand where your DH is coming from re work but believe me when I say people at work will appreciate him staying at home. The one at work got people upset because he was away on holiday, came in day one feeling terrible and then rang the doctors at lunch time to be sent home with suspected swine flu. What wound people up was that he chose to go in and put the rest of us at risk (including the woman who sits next to him who has a baby with severe health issues), NOT the bit were we had to make arrangements to cover his work for the next week when we are already short staffed.
Lots done in the garden today - half of the veg plot rescued from neglect. Dalies done but little else, must hoover before the carpet is comletely lost under pet hair.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
I'll put my tuppence worth in here with staying off if you don't feel well. When my Dad was alive, for the last few years he was pretty poorly really and if any cold got him, he really suffered.Something like the flu would have probably have been fatal for him.
It's not just putting colleagues at risk, it's anyone you are near - particularly on crowded tubes and buses and streets. We all have a responsibility towards our fellow humans (whether we like them all or not!) so lets not endanger them.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
