My balance, credit limit and and available credit are all back up this morning. It also shows my monthly £5 reward credited on Monday. Its still called an Introductory Standard Mastercard, though.

Yes my credit card info is back now too, still with the same introductory mastercard name though. My accounts are more or less back to normal now, the only problem being, the lack of statements, as my reward account only goes back a few weeks, and my ISA only goes back to April, but they seem to be getting there slowly
Debt free and staying that way!
  • I still have no credit card or mortgage showing and cannot open any of my savings accounts. Getting a bit fed up with this now.
    LBM April 2011 £4906

    Virtual sealed pot #136 - £1.60 Sealed pot # 1365 Nectar card - £8.80 Overdraft £0.00
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Is it cheaper elsewhere?
  • Yep - I can't access any of my transactions. This has being ongoing since the weekend. Went into my branch yesterday to get a statement as I needed to know whether some transacations had left my account last week. Guess what. 'Sorry we can't access transactions at the moment'. Shambolic and not good enough from a large bank. I tried to find a contact phone number on the web site and gave up looking. It must be hidden somewhere. I guess if did get a number the Q for answering will be huge. There is no indiction of when this will be sorted either.

Hopefully the halifax will be brought to task over this fiasco, as it seems thousands can't access details from what I've heard.

I've been with the halifax years and looks like time to move on. Vote with my money and move it elsewhere.

You obviously didn't try hard enough...

Go to https://www.halifax.co.uk. At the very top, in the blue bar, click "Contact Us". Then choose "Contact us by phone". The website lists the phone number for each product type, plus a geographic number at the bottom.

    Not exactly hidden.
  • Still very limited functionality on Halifax website. All my accounts are listed, some incorrectly named, and I can't do anything with them. This has gone on long enough.
Luckily for me I don't need to do any transfers for a week or so, but at some times of the month this would be disastrous. It really isn't good enough.
  • Difficult to say where you might move on to, seems there are only two banking groups left now...

Does anyone know if this increasing merger will mean the introduction of those card-reader things? I travel a lot and don't often have my card to hand when I need to make transfers etc. They are already the reason I left Barclays, RBS etc.

Limited statement information for me (none on savings).

But all the transactional functionality is good (except ISA, which seems to be excluded), I've just done a large Faster Payment which would always have failed previously, I can now transfer instantly out of a Guaranteed Saver account and the new Online Saver I opened earlier flew through - the best account opening experience I've ever had.

I also like the way I can name my current accounts and all my savings accounts.

I was doing if from the online banking area and the 'contact us' gave no phone numbers, just links to other areas. This was monday. Can't say I tried the halifax.co.uk main site (Guess I should have thought about that). I've just checked now (on the online area when logged on) and it's changed again. Phone numbers are now displayed. Will try calling them to see if they can tell me any transaction details :)
  • Just tried again now and have no access to ANY previous transactions, are we entitled to some sort of compensation for this!
Also phoned the help line 08456020000 3 times on on each occasion was cut off BEFORE I actually spoke to anyone.
    Dreadful service.

Why, have you lost money as a result?
