I just tried to pay £100’s worth of cheques in to my local Halifax branch – Epsom – and withdraw £100. Was told over the counter that they could take the payments in but could not give me any cash as their computers were down.

Been a saver with Halifax since the Halcion days of mutuals. Never had this problem before. What kind of a bank refuses you access to your own money. ‘Computer says NO!’ just doesn’t cut it with me, especially as I have over 20 grand in my account and get 0.1% interest!

    Just Sooo shoddy Halifax

Having £20k earning 0.1% interest is nobody's fault but your own!! There are plenty of products out there, Halifax or elsewhere

I can get into Halifax online banking but only limited statements available. There is no total for the balance of one account so I have to go through it and do the sums myself. I know they were doing upgrades over the weekend but this is ridiculous.

I was able to get in late last night to change an upcoming S/O but like others only a limited statement available.

I have a BoS account if that makes any difference.

I dont like LTSB and may have to pull my account if too many changes are made, the banks are not loyal to us so why should we be loyal to them?

Does anyone have access to their credit card account? Mine doesn't even appear on the account list.

I recall the same thing happening once at the TSB years ago, they let people take money out and processed the debits later and if it took them overdrawn that was that. But they never refused anyone a withdrawal.

Nope not appearing for me either, or my mortgage.

Its there, but with no balance, credit limit or available balance, and its called "Introductory Standard Mastercard"

They really need to put something on the website, as it seems to be dragging on with nothing much happening. The only improvement thats happened with my online banking is my piggy icon next to my ISA has re-appeared!! A lot of my transactions are still missing from my current account and my ISA
Debt free and staying that way!
