Well I went for my weight in today and am absolutely gutted!!! I only lost 0.5lb after the shed load of exercise I have done this week and have watched my food intake I am mega disappointed. I know 0.5lb is better off than on but still

Ahh well onwards and upwards...here's to better luck next week
Are you making sure you eat enough with exercising, if you aren't, you body may be hoarding calories if it doesn't feel like you are feeding it with enough energy to do the exercise.
Just wanted to pop in and say good luck to everyone, I dieted before my big day, not really for the wedding itself, because I was comfortable with how I looked in my dress, but for general health reasons and lost 32.5lb before the big day. It was hard work, but it gives you such a sense of achievement that its worth sticking to.
I have put on about half a stone max over the honeymoon period which was to be expected on an all inclusive holiday, but aiming to get it back off over the next 10 days.
Someone asked for lunch idea's, if you are following WW have you thought about 0 point soup? My favourite receipe is:
2 tins of chopped tomatoes
900ml vegetable stock
Carrots
Peppers
Onions
Swede
Celery
Garlic
Chilli
It is gorgeous and has a real kick to it, and ends up pretty thick, and is soooo filling! When I am on a low point week (18 to kick start things) I use this for my lunch so I can have a decent tea.0 -

Hi I was just sticking to my points which is currently 19 a day so maybe I should try and eat a bit more and see if that helps?
Well done on your weight loss!!!
I make a soup similar to that and agree its fab.
I also make spicy squash soup
1 medium butterut squash
1 medium onion
2 pints on veg stock
pinch of chilli flakes (more if you like it spicy)
Bung it all in a pan, bring to boil and leave for half an hour, blend it till its smooth!
Gorgous, especially on a cold day and its also 0 points!!0 -
Rinroo, well done on your loss.......even though its not as much as you expected, it's still a loss!!!
I had a totally crappy week last week, but it was "that time of the month" A lot of ladies struggle to lose weight around this time due to the fact that your body retains water. Without appearing to be "too nosey" could this be a factor in your case atm??
Dont lose sight of your goal, your doing soooo well hun!!!!! I've spent the past few weeks keeping an eye out on freecycle for a cross trainer, its sods law that one came up and the oh asked very nicely if we could have it....but they chose someone else
- So I'm now treating myself to one next week thats quite cheap on t'internet - not very MSE but uber fat fighting!!
And finally............
Donna/weight loss goal 6 stone!!/2 pounds so far this week / 48 (ish) pounds to go
Oh god.....putting it like that I now feel ill!!!!NEVER look down at somebody....unless you are helping them up.0 -
Rinroo, well done, maybe you have put on muscle if you have been exercising loads? I suggest sticking to your points again and seeing what happens next week before you change anything. You might lose extra next week...I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

I do no exercise whatsoever and haven't done for a few years therefore I'm very unfit, I don't watch what I eat but moan I look chubby etc.
TODAY THIS HAS CHANGED! I have just put on a fitness DVD and did 15 minutes (I have to start somewhere). Going to put the DVD on every night after work and do a different section and then increase my time after a week or so.
Fingers crossed I will keep this up......................Bride to Be - 28th August 2010 :dance:0 -
