What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged or undercharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift voucher for each product you have been mischarged for.

Thats what they state on the website.
    "Happy to help" :D

It is people like you who makes working at any type of customer service job horrible.

I'm guessing you don't go and have a massive argument when you get under-charged do you?

So it's ok for customer service to complain about the customers now, then.
Next we'll have bus drivers complaining about having to stop to pick people up!

Last week in Asda when they rang up my bill it came to £266. Both me and the cashier just looked at each other! It should have been around £35.00! When she looked at my bill she said "oh your blueberry muffins have come through at £219". I'd not had any blueberry muffins! Apparently it was a "ghost scan". I didn't actually pay the £266... so I don't suppose I'd qualify for a gift voucher.
  • Wanted to have a moan about Asda as i live opposite one im always in there...I bought a pack of 2 fairy dishwasher tablets (15s) that were 2 for £4 (or £3.49 each). i never normally check my receipts :o but they had charged me £3.49 each. I queued at CS for 25 minutes with my shopping and by the time she rang to check on the offer (and as it was so hot in there) my frozen food had started to melt. I asked for the gift card and asked for a replacement for my frozens (which i had to get)..Anyway..

Following day, a bottle of lemonade i bought had exploded overnight, still sealed, and had soaked other cereal. so i took it to CS and she told me to get a replacement for the cereal and 2 lemonade's. It was own brand lemonade so i got a more expensive brand. At the desk she asked why i chose the more expenisive brand (she told me to grab any 2), I said i did'nt want to get the same one just incase there was a fault (or something like that) The looks i was getting were as if the money was coming out of their own pockets ..everytime i go there i have problems  didn't get the refund on the lemonade but couldn't be bothered to go back after all that..

This is my recent experience of an overcharge in my local Asda - Chandlers Ford, some 2 weeks ago.
I purchased, amongst other things, 26 pack of walkers crisps - sel £2.98, though large pos at foot of crisp baskets "all 26 pack of walkers crisps £2.74".
I was charged the £2.98, thus went to CS desk for refund and £2 gift card.
CSA refused £2 gift card, and just gave me 24p difference. I pointed out the price promise policy, for which she said doesn't apply anymore.
So i asked to speak to DM, who phoned through to CS desk. CSA gave me a further 20p advising that DM had said to give me 20p, now thats 200% difference and seeing that i had finished my shopping would i kindly leave the store!!
I went home, phone H/O CS on 0500 100055, who apologied for the incident, took all details, and advised they would write to me. 4 days later, letter arrived, sincere apologies...blah..blah.. thank you for identifying the error, full inverstigation... blah...blah..blah, and a £10 gift card enlosed.
Ok, so benefit of the doubt, went in to same store last weekend, only to find the product still miss advertised. Not one to be humiliated in the store again, when i got home, called H/O CS, asked to speak to manager, who phoned me back after 30min. I read out letter i had recieved, and my observations of that day i.e I had been fobbed off with £10 whilst they continue to miss advertise products.
I have scanned letter, till reciept and contacted trading standards, who replied within 24 hours to advise they are making a full investigation. 1st time i've contacted them, but to notify the store of a mis-price, and them not to action it after a full week, i had no choice.
But low and behold, 2nd letter today from Asda, apologising for not acting as they said they would on their 1st letter, and a £20 gift card enclosed.
    So for a 24p miss-price, i got my 24p back + 20p (making it 200%??), and £30 in gift cards!
Thus if your mis-price is not actioned correctly at the CS desk, go home and phone 0500 100055 to register that the store is not following company policy.

  • I was overcharged on Asdas swiss style musli yesterday, SEL £1.00 scanned£1.07, phoned & told them when I noticed on my receipt. Went back today & got 10p refunded & a £2 gift card without having to ask! :j

This was after in the same shop yesterday I noticed a jar of pasta sauce with an expiary date of July 2005!!!!! Bought it to see what they would do! Initially they were only offering me a replacement for something which was nearly a year out of date! CS called the manager who agreed & it wasnt until I said "what if id eaten it & then realised?" they gave me £5 on a gift card. Think if id kicked up more of a fuss I could have got more but they made me feel guilty for them not rotationg their stock!!

Aslo noticed a sign saying Asda will only except 10% of the bill in coupons now, still confused on Tescos policy regarding coupons, some people scan as many as possible others only 1!! Make it up as they go along i think!!
