I was overcharged again today at Asda. I was given a 30p refund, again no apology. I said, 'do you not have a misprice policy like tesco as this is the second time I have been overcharged in two weeks?' The women gave me a £2 gift card. I still feel like emailing or ringing the store to complain about her rudeness and lack of apology.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

I was overcharged on Olivio spread today. Didn't notice till I got home, so will keep reciept till next visit. It gets tiring though. I have been overchaged for the last 4 visits. I think I'll start adding the £2's to the same card, at this rate it'l buy my Xmas shopping!

The best one I ever had in tesco was on bananas I think the customer services person got confused - the bananas were reduced to half price and the checkout person didn't notice - to be honest I was simply looking for the difference. First I was given a refund, then i was given the difference then I was given a £2 card the bananas were only worth about 40p I thinkThere is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0

i think that if shops are going to overcharge customers they have to pay the consequences. i dread to think how many times i have been overcharged and not noticed.
BUT
I am on to them now as I check my shopping very closely0 -
I think wiht Asda its swings and roundabouts as I am often charged less for items. When I looked closer at my receipt today I realised that I had a 48p multisave from buying two cans of beans, these shouldn't have been reduced as far as I know, i think it may have been an old promotion.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

Makes me laugh, they put these offers on like the 3 year warranty on electrics and expect people not to abuse it, thats the way some people are and they do spoil it for the honest customers.
What is the difference between an honest and a dishonest customer? I presume a dishonest customer is one who nicks stuff from the store, in which case the law deals with those people.
Maybe the T&C should be written a little better, if it said "get a £2 card, unless we think you are being dishonest" - I doubt you would get anyone asking for one as everyone would feel guilty about it.
The point about these promotions, and that after all is what it is, is that head office do it after noticing pricing issues from the stores which can have a massive knock on in terms of both profits and penalties from the local trading standards office. Then the store has to implement it, which they don't like because it hits profits.
Please, please just have a go at your head office for putting out unworkable policies, rather than the "honest" customer for taking advantage or your confusion.0 -
Saying that at least Asda give you this policy, Morrisons are the most stingy ******'s. When they over charge you all they give you is your money back.
Not much of an incentive for them to get it right in the first place is it?There is no need to run outside

Maybe if people reported their 'overcharges' to Trading Standards - perhaps not on EVERY occasion, but after every 2 or 3 overcharges (wouldn't take too long to reach this level, in my experience) ... if Trading Standards then took action, Morrisons might realize it would be far less expensive to introduce a more 'customer friendly' system than have customers complain to TS.
Worth noting ..... a few months ago I had reason to report my local Tesco to Trading Standards, and was told by the officer who dealt with my case that they didn't really have any problems with Tesco, ie: they had not had many complaints about the store. Consequently (in my opinion) the store was 'let off lightly' re my complaint, so I resolved that any future returns to Customer Services (of which there have previously been many!) would also be reported to Trading Standards (again, not following EVERY instance, but maybe 2 or 3 of same) so that Tesco's failings would become known, and TS would come to realize the TRUE state of affairs, encouraging its officers to act accordingly. If it's cheap, I'm cheerful!0 -

Good point - most people seem to be 'satisfied' at Tesco because they are fair most of the time. I will make the effort in future especially for Morrisons.
In my local, they haven't even got a customer services desk - I think they think their wonderful. If you have a problem you have to speak to the checkout supervisers and there not exactly friendly. There is no need to run outside
