there is a misprice on ASDA's twin pack biscuits it says 2 for 80p but this does not kick in if you buy 2 different kinds .Got my difference but had to ask for £2.00 on card. Seemingly this has always been an issue with these biscuits for about a year and the reduction only works only if you buy 2 the same

    hi
just read all post asda policy is to give £2 for an overcharge if it is not happening write to head office they will sort it out
people very rarely tell the store if they are undercharged, but not a lot of people now this but asda has a policy that if you inform the cs then they will give you £2 for telling them so they do reward honesty, but i persume you would have to ask for it cos it doesn`t happen very often and you don`t have to pay the extra cost.

Thanks for the tip - was in Asda today and remembered about this, and it worked! :j

Got two different packs of biscuits (ones that say "Any 2 for 80p"), and the discount didn't work. The poor harrassed-looking lady in CS said this has been going on for ages and she gets people every week complaining about this.

I did have to remind her of the £2 giftcard, though.

Can never have too many biscuits... :p

I was unaware of the £2 Asda policy until Customer Services in their Roehampton store told me about it and gave me £2 voluntarily (about 3-4 years ago - it was at the stage where they still gave £2 in paper vouchers, before the advent of the giftcard:p !!). I'm sure Clapham Junction would have something to say to them about this as they are my "normal" store and my regular source of £2 additions to my giftcard;) .

Although, I have to admit, there are a lot less additions recently than in previous years:cry: , so I think Asda are learning from their own generosity... Like others, I save my £2s for Christmas, and it covers various bits and pieces (from the sherry on a bad year:wink: , to the turkey on an OK-ish year:cheesy: , to a large percentage of the Christmas food shop on a good year:rotfl: !!). I don't feel guilty, because whenever I point out a mistake, I am giving them the chance to correct their mis-pricing policy (and therefore saving themselves from refunding x amounts of x pence;) ). Recently, they have been removing the Shelf edge price when I "complain", which saves them from countless other complaints (which would undoubtedly add up to more than £2 in refunds!!). However, I have noticed that £2 is never offered voluntarily these days, so I tend to get my refund - give them the receipt first and point out the problem, then let them sort out the "finances" part, before sliding my Asda Christmas Saver card over the counter and saying "and thats for my £2, please" with a big smile. It is rarely disputed...and on the odd occasion the Asda colleague gives me a "blank" look, I just say "your £2 compensation policy for mis-pricing..." and it has never been refused (I suspect that they are told to "play dumb" but are not allowed to dispute it:think: ?!). Again, I don't feel particularly guilty - especially since they refused to refund me on a birthday card where the "Asda" price sticker left a really noticeable sticky mark on the card when I tried to "easy-peel" it off - despite still having the "Asda" sticker, I didn't have the receipt, and they refused to change it for me :naughty: (I couldn't send it to my mum - it looked terrible!!) - they would only put the amount on to a giftcard, despite the fact that it was obviously bought from them:mad: . Well, it works both ways, Asda - you take advantage of me and I will do the same to you when I get the chance!!!

P.S. Ali007 - I always leave my Boots refunds for ½hr after I've paid and then say that I don't have my advantage card with me (or better than that - say that my "boss" made the original purchase, noticed the error and sent me back...didn't give me her advantage card...) - I've never been strip searched for an advantage card yet, and there's nothing they can do about it!!

Naughty - yes, probably...but I do a lot of my Christmas shopping on advantage card points (and I'm not a "professional" scammer who deliberately buys things they know are mispriced - I only claim on genuine over-charged items!).

Many thanks, I bought malted Milk and Bourbons. Both had the 'Any two for 80p' strip on the pack but the offer didn't go through. I went to CS, got a refund of 15p then asked if I was getting a £2 gift card

Was in Asda and overcharged on their "every small pizza £1 deal" where the price on 1 of the pizzas was £2.18 anyway to cut a long story short their "customer service" refused to honour the £2 gift card as the cretin behind the desk said that because it was a computer error and not a human error they would not honuor their policy and just refunded the difference. You would have thought it was coming out of her own pocket the way she was going on about it. Might just e-mail them today about it. It seems like they will give you the £2 gift card if you are wearing the right colour trousers on the right day.

I usually shop in Tesco as some cashiers accept every last bit of paper/coupon/voucher/used tissue from my pocket as payment before I have to dust off my credit card and pay the remaining few quid with real money...
But fancied a change and, having read this site went to Asda in search of a £2 giftcard. No probs, without even trying, just memorised a few prices then studied the receipt then off to CS once I found the error(s).
Biscuits (2 for 80p) did not work for me but found small blue packs of MINI JAFFA CAKES ('proper' ones not Asda's own efforts) marked down to 27p - lol they scanned at 40p. Also got 2 different packs of chilled tandoori/tikka chicken, should be 2 for £5 but offer did not work, no probs with refund of difference altho' CS said it only applied to one type (I don't think so but went home happy).
Only miffed by the cashier who would only accept 2 manufacturers' coupons off shopping (thought it was 10% at Asda?) so went to Tesco later and offloaded £20-worth of coupons for a £30 shop....no r&r's noticed though!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Does anyone know if you have more than 1 misprice on a single reciept, if you get more than 1 £2 gift card? Or do you think you'll still only get one £2 gift card, regardless of the mistakes on reciept?
    Hope that makes sense??

I've just had my 2nd gift card for this! I noticed though that some packaging is changing. Not all of the Malted milk were priced marked and the Nice had 2 for 80p on them rather than Any two for 80p.:p
