I just don't know why you would do that to your baby. Hungry babies need more milk. Nothing is higher in calories than breast or formula milk. All that 'mother knows best' crap - tell that to my friend who was weaned at 6 weeks and now suffers from coeliac disease. She certainly doesn't think her mother knew best.
But, whatever. Your child. His health. Not my problem.0 -

blue milk, 7oz and baby rice in it and the little f*cker still wakes up wanting more...
might need to feed him some chocolate before bed or something
Thats probably the stomach ache from the baby rice he is unable to digest properly yet.
Good luck with your matched betting."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -
There is nothing perfect about following guidelines based on evidence that is pretty undeniable. I just don't think that I know better than the department of health, and my x-ray vision isn't advanced enough to see how mature my baby's gut is.
I was weaned early, I was fed rice and rusks in a bottle - that was nearly 30 years ago and I am able to understand that things have moved on somewhat.0 -
Anyone tuning in to catch some hot posts between these two lovers........don't bother, they are as b-o-r-i-n-g as hell!0

Oh and they sell food from 4 months with a notice saying that you are advised not to wean before 6 months because they can and because they want to make money.
The same reason they sell 'follow on milk' (the excess iron is exctreted from the body), 'night time milk' 'comfort milk' and so on and so on. And a spoon for a 6 month old baby, and a spoon for a 9 month old baby. And 8 different types of cot mattress. A thousand pushchairs to choose from.

Absolutely no need, I have agreed and disagreed with various comments on this thread, but that was just way too low!
That little f*cker is your child, your flesh and blood. After a comment like that he doesn't deserve parents like you!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Agree with the highlighted comment, however sometimes there is no other alternative. My baby was diagnosed with reflux at an early age, we had to change her milk to SMA Staydown which is specially formulated for babies with significant reflux, however on christmas day she completely refused point blank any bottles, although she wolfed down all solids. I tried her on the SMA progress milk as recommended by a health visitor who basically said that I could offer cows milk as her reflux was clearing itself but did not contain all of the vitamins etc in it so suggested I tried something like the follow on milk as she also refused the other *proper baby milk*.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
