if you don't have isofix then the ones which scored higher in the which crash tests are
    maxi cosi prori xp
    maxi cosi prori sps
    mamas and papas protec
and the above isofix one scored well using the seat belt.

you should have a look on britax and maxi cosi to see whether they fit your car and then go somewhere and get them to try it

hmmm when we had the picaso the only place we could get an isofix seat for the car was at the citreon garage and they quoted about 300 quid

was 4 years ago though so obviously they have come down a bit lol

Britax Renaissance is what we had (link above Boots have 20% off it and an additonal 10% off orders over £40 til Monday) its an excellent seat. Fits very securely and doesnt move. Once you have got used to fitting it its so easy to do.

We had Halfords re fit it after we had to take it out to use the car to move some stuff and when the refitted it it was awful, so we redid it again and got a much tighter fir than them!!

    Nice one.

Just to say we had a 0 - 10 month (ish) seat, then a Britax 9 month - 4 years (ish) seat.
When daughter reached 3 and a half we bought the Maxi Cosi Rodi XP.

    he's 9 mths old
    over 20lb
    seat should be forward facing
    to fit Megane scenic

    what we would like please
    cost and where
does it fade over time (therefore what colour)
    Is it easy to fit
does it have plenty of padding (all we have looked at so far seem very hard and plastic!)

    Thanks Guys & Gals.

With both my sons we liked the Britax car seats once they outgrew the infant carrier car seats.

They are easy to fit,and fairly well padded

My sister also has them for her 2 children :)

You can choose & see if they will fit your car here : http://www.britax.co.uk/ChooseSeat.jsp

We had the Isofix ones by Britax and they where really easy to fix. They where grey so didn't how the muck and washed well. He's just gone to a new seat and we went for the new Britax Isofix Evolvo so that should (??) last him for years and years now. The only downside was the cost the first ones where about £150 and the new ones where £120 - for the new ones we went through Quidco to get the extra commission ! The cost didn't seem to matter as much as DS had cost us circa 12K and 10 years of heartache :-)

Go to Mothercare or your local council may have a fitting service that is free. They will try every seat until they find the best one for your requirements. Then come back here and find the best deals!!!!!:money:

The britax fit finder is good - but staff in a shop will talk you through the fitting so you know what you are doing!
