A friend bought a car seat at Halforld's today and asked if they price-matched?
They didn't quibble when she said she had seen the seat £20 cheaper on an internet site, although this is a 'shop' too.
Worth a try? They didn't ask for any proof BTW.

why not buy from Kiddicare ? I have used that site with no problems before ,for a pushchair.0

Not sure if I would personally buy from an internet site for a car seat. I think it is adviseable to get it fitted correctly(and you yourself familiar with the fitting of it) at Halfords or similar. Not all car seats fit every car so it is important to check each.

we "pretended" to want to buy from babies r us,tried it in our car then got it cheaper online0 -
Thanks for the replies, yes, Kiddicare are the cheapest, but I have had terrible problems returning faulty items to them twice before, so have vowed to avoid them in future. I will speak to Halfords and get on the phone to some local retailers, thanks. Ness.0

Apologies if this is in the wrong place. We're expecting our second baby in 2 weeks and having dug out our baby car seat we appear to have lost the pads that go on the chest straps.
Does anyone know of anywhere we can buy just the pads to attach to the straps? It's a Graco car seat but I'm assuming you can get generic pads to attach to such things but not having any luck finding any at the moment.

http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.aspx/BruHome/BruTravel/BruTravelCarSeats/BruTravelCarSeatsAccessories/213578 says out of stock but i am sure they would have them in store
Although TBH i dont think you really "need" them and in fact i removed them from my sons carseat after a few weeks as they just got in the way lol0 -

Thanks for the replies, while looking in Boots yesterday to see if they have anyhting I noticed that the new equivalent doesn't have them. I'm now in two minds as to whether ours ever did or not but in any case I think we're just going to leave it anyway.

Our son is nearly 11 months and getting too big now for his car seat. Any advice on what to look/whats useful/safety etc for his next seat. He is currently 22lbs and growing fast!
Thx
