  • Genuinely awesome news.

Great advice regarding choice of solicitors and the importance of understanding and appreciating the nature of a legally binding contract.

I really want to hear more about these numpty vendors- please update us with some quality dirt once everything is signed and sorted.
    They are an EYESORES!!!!
  • I've been lurking on this thread since it started, I haven't posted up to now as I have no experience of this nor anything useful to add. I just wanted to say how pleased I am for you WW - this must have been such an awful experience for you and your family and I am so relieved for you that you are now able to move on. I look forward to reading your "Woohoo - we have completed" thread, and for the before, during and after thread (with piccies ;) ) of the referbishment of your new home.

Hoping everything goes smoothly for you, :)

Well done to you and your other half for getting through it. Be happy! :A:A:A

p.s. - this should definitely be a contender for the best thread of the year purely because of the great result!

Glad its all sorted and over - but I do have a burning question; Did you ever find out _why_ they refused to complete? Was there some super secret skullduggery going one, or were they just unhinged?

I want to know this too :o

Congratulations WW and good luck in your new home

:) Good luck in your new home
  • WOW! What a result!:j

I've been keeping up with this from the beginning and it's fantastic to see that things have gone your way, really seems like it was all meant to be and at least you can move into your lovely new home without the thoughts of the vendors lurking at the back of your mind.
Hope this whole saga serves as a warning to any other selfish people out there who were thinking of doing the same thing

    Congrats!

Congrats WW glad you got it sorted quickly and have found something better.

Please just let us know when you actually get the 30k. I hope it's soon but it will be interesting to know just how long that sort of payment takes to come through in practice.

    Enjoy your new house.
  • Phew!
