For those of you considering TT - sign-up using QUIDCO. I'm tracking a payment of £40 (£20 for the tel line and £20 for the broadband) - which more than covers the £30 TT sign-up cost and the £5 that QUIDCO takes per year.0

Looks like it could be a long wait for some people as I predicted. See this quote from adslguide. You will be paying for the call package whilst waiting for bb!
http://www.adslguide.org.uk/The contract seems to allow for the start of billing from when the calls part is up and running, rather than having to provide the free broadband service at the same time.Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. I've just signed up for the new TT package and the order completion shows that the current 1Mb bandwidth is due to be connected to the 8Mb system March 2007!. If you are not incredibly patient, this needs to be considered carefully!0

the offer is you have to join up to their talk 3 plan, this then stipulates broadband free, phone package £9.99, then £11 for line rental which in total is £20.99 + £29.99 connection fee. but what they dont say is that if they have not got their software in the bt exchange near you, you have to pay £10 extra per month until they reach a quota of people signed up in that area before you can have it free, you dont get told this until you sign up, SO MUCH FOR NEVER PAY FOR BROADBAND AGAIN as they have printed on their fliers0

STEER CLEAR - as well as blocking P2P ports to avoid paying bandwidth, they are now blocking online gaming!
Suddenly this free broadband is rapidly becoming something you'd have to pay to make me use - even then it would be at knife point!
