Since my OH is Welsh, I got little miniature Welsh Love Spoons - tied with a red ribbon and tag with our names & the date of wedding.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

Love the toffee apple idea - that is fab!! Very original
are you making them yourself?
Thank you, its a bonfire wedding so they are perfect.
I dont think i could deal with the stress of making them myself as they would be last minute things. It will onyl cost £50 for 100 so its not really worth the effort.0 -
We get married at Easter so are having little boxes with a nest inside with min eggs and mini creme eggs in (to capture the child in everyone : )

Can you really freeze cupcakes??? doesn't it affect the taste - will be a godsend if they are ok to freeze :j as I want to make a cake out of them

We had seed paper hearts (wild flowers) with a little tag asking guests to plant them and remember the day (or some such cutesy thing!). They were about £5.50 for 10 and the lady I bought them off hand made them.
I have to say that I kinda agree with Lydia (I think her name was, sorry!) that cheap chocs in nets show not a lot of thought and stuff with peoples names etc on will just get shoved into a drawer or eventually into a loft or cupboard as whilst you don't want to throw them away, they just aren't any use or something you wish to display.
Whilst I love my sister dearly, when I was bridesmaid at her wedding 8 years ago, I can honestly say that I have not once used the champagne flutes with their names and wedding date they gave me as a thank you. To be fair they are now divorced but I would still feel bad if I threw them away, but never have or ever will use them."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0 -

do a test run for the icing - but I do it every week for work.
Butter cream tops work okay too (just tested
) just have to be careful how you freeze them so they dont squidge
(coz you just have to eat the squidged ones your self.)
I'm thinking I might put the cooled cakes back into the cake tin and ice them in there and put that in the freezer like that still in the tin. When they're totally frozen you could box them up with no risk of squidgeification

guess you can, I've never tried it. Sponge comes out slightly sticky on top but it shouldnt affect icing

trail run
then you can eat em
Purely for quality control mind you
