No I never have. I have always been told I am ugly since I was little by people, I was teased at school and then when I went to work, I try and laugh it off but it hurts. If I did go to a support group they couldn't change the fact that I am quite repulsive looking so I never thought about it
I guess some people are nice looking and some aren't and I fall into the second group I suppose. I have had a couple of girlfriends ( and was engaged once) so I know not all women judge on looks, so I sort of cling onto that0 -
Amiga,
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The fact that you have had girlfriends and were engaged proves you can't be all that bad. I think that your confidence is at an all time low at the moment and everything is a blow for you. I think you need to get out of the house and mixing with people as soon as possible and I think you should consider going to the Doctor and talking things over with them. They will know which direction to point you in as regards counselling. Once you start talking to people about your problems they don't seem as bad. Keep you chin up and remember to take all the help that is offered to you.
Keep in touch

dear amiga ive been away for a few days an only just looked at your post, its easy for me to say to you..dont be down, cos i remember me back in april.however look at it as you have come along way in the last 4 months, its just that you cant see that yet,cos you are living it,but you have.i was the most happy individual you could have wished to meet with a good sence of humor before all this.it has taken the toll so you must give yourself time,an accept you cant just bounce back so quickly, also expect to feel like this for a little while longer, its like the flu you know it will end,so it keeps you going.you have posted to me when i have been down..i remember.so im returning to you a post of knowing it will get better for you,an wishing you the best of life.as for your dads letter..get on with life an come to terms that your dad is a bitter,an unhappy man.you are the one who can cope,he cant. many many good wishes penny xx0

Hi Amiga
So sorry to see that you feel that way. I also know excatly where you are coming from as someone that has been teased all their life
I am also a firm believer in believing in yourself. Getting support won't change the way you look, but it will change the way you see yourself
For example: i will never be a stunning size 10 model. But..... i am an extremely caring person, and believe that a great personality is far more important.
And women respect that. Your dealing with your debt and gambling issues so your next step could be looking for that special someone.
I saw another use's signature that said "I may not be the most handsome, but i'm faithful" I thought it was a cute slogan
chin up chuck, things can only go in one direction and thats up

Thank you for those nice words. It is just something I have come to accept. I am too old now to change so will just have to live with it! I realise I am proberly never going to get married or have kids or anything and I have mostly come to terms with that.
Bit of a BR update, had a call from a car collection company today. My little car that failed it's MOT the day before BR is to be taken and scrapped tomorrow. The OR arranged it all, I did give them a quick call to confirm it and they said yes they did arrange it.
I will miss little monty, he was a good little car to me.
Two cheeky questions, He is currently taxed until January. Can I remove the tax disk and cash this in? Also he is insured until next July! Can I get a refund on this? Would I need to tell the OR (the refund may be around 140 pounds)0 -
Hmm if the OR didnt exempt the car & took as an asset then the tax refund tecnically belongs to them...BUT for such a low ammount they probably wouldnt show an interest TBHWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

I actually just looked it up online
Any insurance or tax refund goes right to the OR. I have been a little stupid and cancelled my Insurance already! Hope I don't get into trouble!0 -
Just had Monty taken away by the local scrapyard
Wasn't too impressed, the chap coming to collect it was nice enough however on the sheet it said the customer was the OR! So he came right to the door saying " Bankrupt eh?". He was nice enough about it, told me a tale of a neighbour of his who was BR too. (Everyone I know has a BR tale, one day I might be someones BR tale!!)
I made a error and cancelled the Insurance yesterday, called the OR today expecting a smack across the legs. She said ok no problem, we will take the refund though, you can pay us by cheque!! I told them I don't have a chequebook anymore! She said I need to call the Admin lady to sort this out. So I have that pleasure today.
Oh and later on I have a interview for that volunteer job in the charity shop, so instead of being here I should go iron a shirt
Have a good day all0 -

Hi Amiga
(((hugs))) to you. Sorry to hear your car went today.
Good luck with the interview for the volunteer job, I hope you get it. You sound like a lovely person and I think you would gain alot of job satisfaction from voluntary work. Im in the early stages of applying to the CAB as a voluntary adviser, been to the Introduction day, just waiting to hear if Im thru to interview.
Well best of luck, fingers crossed for you

Hi Amiga, everyone does have a BR tale to tell don't they but I think it's just an ice breaker to be honest. It's interesting, it's topical and it's just another 'thing' thats happened to every day normal folk due to the worlds econonomy. I think a couple of years ago people maybe would have kept their comments to themselves and thought their own judgemental thoughts.. not these days but I don't have a problem with that really. Although I have health visitor coming to my new rental house and i'm paranoid she's going to think ill of me or knows something bout my mess somehow. I'm an idiot though.
Hope the voluntary job interview goes well but whatever happens I really hope you can feel good about yourself matey, I hope you can wake up in the morning and think 'yeah, life's alright you know' Stay with us friend x0
