    Slight upbeat update

Applied for a job yesterday ( call centre postion) Anyhoo within an hour of applying I had a call regarding it, asking me for an interview next week

but ( told you, always a but)

She told me she would email me the details for the interview ( where it was and such) she didn't yesterday so I called today. She said she would but not when, and it may be me being super paranoid but I get the feeling she isn't going to. I did tell her about the BR right away and he said she doesn't think it will be a problem

I know it's not healthy to put so much on this but I will be well chuffed to be working again!
  • Best of luck. As for mentioning BR, I'm in the corner of believing that not mentioning it may be better but I haven't got BR yet so what do I know ?

Keep your chin up and keep posting.

You may of course be correct sir :) I just blurted it out to this lady on the phone as I got stung with my last job. The best course of action is to not mention it unless asked I suppose :)

    Hi Amiga,

I agree about not mentioning the BR until you have to. Get through the interview and then tell them if you have to, I may be niave but what business is it of anyone's what your financial status is (except our of course) hee hee:rotfl:

Keep in touch and good luck

    Thanks everyone.

Well the lady called me up and confirmed my interview for Tuesday so I am pleased about that. ( All the worry for nothing again!)

Now as in all my posts there is a downside :) The job is 10 miles away, one shift starts at 6.45am ( before the bus service) and the other shift finshes at 10.45pm ( After the bus service!) So I will need to walk to work or from work until I can afford to buy a pushbike and then in time, a old car.

But to finsh on a happy note, it is my birthday tomorrow. I have took the plunge and paid 20 pounds so I can take a train and see a few of my mates and have a drink or three. After the past few months I derserve that.

Once again thanks, you are all brilliant

    Hi Amiga,

Happy birthday for tomorrow, enjoy your time with your friends, try to relax. Good luck for Tuesday let us know how you get on. Once you are in the job you may be able to cadge a lift from someone who lives near to you and chip in for the cost of the petrol.

    Have a smashing day tomorrow.
