I am so sorry you did not get the job, that is a real b@mmer but please don't be down hearted to much. Just keep applying and going for jobs, there is a recession on and lots of people going for few jobs so it may be a fight to get a job but you will get one if you are determined enough. Your Dad is wrong, don't let his negativity get you down.

Have you tried the volunteer route again? Go to an Employment Agency and sign up and then ring them every day to see what they have for you. Make your self known to them.

Is there a college course you could do? to help you get more qualifications to get a job.

You can get through this, I know you can. You've come so far, you can go further.

ETA: Sweetheart please could you ring the Samaritains and talk to them.

I agree with everyone don't do anything silly. It was a good suggestion to phone the Samaratins and talk to someone. Your Dad WAS NOT RIGHT if no-one cared about you then why are we all replying to you passing on our thoughts and wishes. I know things are tough but please don't give up. Sign up for every agency going, go into every charity shop near you and ask if you can help, but most importantly PHONE SOMEONE TO TALK TO. Please get in touch with us all soon to let us know that you are ok.

Amiga - sorry about the job but there will be one for you. It is really tough at the moment but you will get something. Please, please, please phone Samaritans and go and see your GP. Many people who have come through BR and everything else often wondered if there was any light at the end of the tunnel and we can all tell you YES there is. You are worth it!!!

I am still here. Seems I even fail at ending it all. I just don't see how calling the Samaritans will help at all. It won't make my family bother with me, or make me look normal or get me a job etc.

Just got a call from Mcdonalds turning me down for a job too. I just need one thing to go right, just one slight break and I can build from that but it just isn't there. Anyway I am going to stop posting for a while. This moaning will just get you all down, and you don't derserve that. Just wanted you to all know I was still here

Please please dont think you are a failure. From reading your posts and your replies to other people on here you come across as a compassionate kind and thoughtful person who has had some tough things to deal with in life.

I really hope you can seek some professional advice to help you, you sound very depressed and cant see a way out of your troubles. But please believe me, there will be a way forward for you, its just a case of finding it. Could you see your Doctor for help?

Please do not stop posting, lots of people here really care for you and I know I have been thinking about you the last couple of days and wondering how you are. Please dont give up.

Please just hang on in and keep trying. Don't take the fact that you are getting turned down for jobs personally it is very difficult at the moment to get employment.

I have been reading this thread for a few weeks now and haven't posted yet but would like to say you seem like a very decent person who deserves a break. I know you are having a bad time at the moment but things will get better and just keep trying something will turn up soon.

And please don't do anything like you're suggesting it may not seem like it to you at the moment but just reading your postings on here you are a clever, articulate person who the world is better off with you in it.

You may not see what contacting the Samaritans will do for you unless you do contact them!!!

i'm glad to hear you're still here, please keep posting, you're not moaning and there are lots of people here who care and want to be here for you.
you're right about needing a break, one will come along in time i know it. it's just a bad time at the moment for jobs, everyone is struggling. i have never known so many people looking for jobs, so it certainly isn't you.
i still agree with everyone that you should see the doctor or call the Samaritans, you don't know it won't help - surely it has to be worth a try?
