Woohoo Amiga! Hey mate, really pleased you're thinking about your future. You can acheive what you want. Now i'm not saying it's going to be easy and without hiccup but you've got a little bit of drive there.. aha, I can see it, peeking out. Grab that drive! I am doing an access course and I will goto university I just don't know when that will be right now as it's a struggle to juggle being a mam, skint and knackered but I'll get through it.
It's so difficult to have a positive attitude when all you feel is crap but I know from learning about myself that if I feel down, I drag myself down - I fuel the misery. It is about being proactive but I also know that it's easier said than done because today is a real kak day for me. I'm so glad you're keeping in touch with us and hopefully the samaritans, maybe the doc's possible an access brochure, maybe a look at the area where you would ideally love to live.
Does us all good to plan what we really want, that way we can work to get it
Take real good care of yourself x0 -

Amiga,
I think you should look into the possibility of moving nearer your family that you say care for you. To use the word awsome to desccribe your grandad means he is very important to you and vice versa. I think he would liketo know about the BR and proud of you for getting the help you needed.
Well done for contacting the samaratins, keep in touch with them, it might take a bit of time to feel that they are helping you. Also what about contacting Citizens Advice to make sure you are getting everything you ar entitled to. Fab idea to do an access course, it will help boost your confidence, and most importantly of all keep posting as we are all here and ready to listen and help if we can.
Take care

Amiga hun, you mentioned studying, maybe an access course? Well I said before that i was doing an access course, I'm studying distance learning and have totted up how much it has cost so far.. £320 and i'm no where near finished - the company are getting money just for me to teach myself and access online pdf's containing questions I need discuss into essays.
I decided to look at the Open University and they have a lot of finacial help, I did the elegibility checker and found that I can get most of my course fees paid for. I've to look into it further but thought of you straight away http://www3.open.ac.uk/study/explained/financial-support.shtml might just be something there that you would fancy doing - great if you can get it paid for0 -
Well I feel a bit of a berk. The job I didn't get on Tuesday called me back yesterday, asking if I can start tomorrow! It is only for 6 weeks and not a great wage, and I will need to walk 20 miles a day, but it is work and much better than signing on. There is a small chance it may go on longer so I am hoping it does.
As far as access courses go, thanks a bunch Miche! Do you need to start one in September or is there other start dates? Sooner the better for me, as I can then get to uni quicker!
Thanks all for the messages, it did perk me up when I was really low0 -
CONGRATULATIONS on the job!!! That must really make you feel better. Isn't there a bus service you could use?
You may be able to find an access course that starts in January - you just need to do the research.

hey congratulations!! that has made my day!!!!
are there no buses? you never know, once you get there you may be able to jump in with someone else going your way...

Work starts at 6.45am and the earliest bus is 7am and the first train is 7.30am
I can get a bus home though thinking about it so at least that is something.
Sorry about the delay in saying anything, having "issues" with my isp at the moment. Wouldn't let me online for more than 30 seconds yesterday the stupid thing.
I am writing to the OR now to mention it all, it may get delayes due to the postal strike, will this matter?0
