Someone mentioned the bike thing not sure what it is as I don't think we have it in Scotland also you may be able to car share with someone and chip in for the petrol.

    Noofy
We were talking about a bicycle - I'm sure you must have those in Scotland:D.

Thank you everyone. ( double thanks to Somerset!)

I started today, it went ok, people seem decent and job ok. Now, there is always a downside with me, today I had to fill in a government security clearance sheet. Asked about BR of course :/ I filled in 100% honestly, but am now a little worried I will lose this job too. I did tell the Agency before hand I was BR. Anyway even if I lose the job I will get a couple of weeks work out of it which is great. Also found out today it's monthly pay, so this month is going to be VERY tight money wise!

Anyway to end on a postive, my faith in human kindness was restored today, and despite the fact I am exhausted after all that walking, I am feeling good

hiya Amiga! glad to hear your first day went well. i love that your faith in human kindness was restored! :D people surprise us when we least expect it. hope day 2 was just as good! x

    Hello all,

Yes thank you, work went well this week. Still a little worried about the security checks I had to sign. I told the truth and mentioned the BR so hopefully I will be ok.

Transport situation has been sorted out. Not sure if the person wishes to be named, but someone on this forum has sent me the money required to buy a second hand bike. I got it yesterday and now it takes me around a hour to get to work and I don't need to get up at 3am!

Once again, people on here have made all the difference to me and my outlook, and I am have to say I was in tears when this person offered me that help.
