Do you all just sell books? have any of you sold electrical goods or toys? I sold a new mobile phone a few weeks ago but have been thinking what I can look out for to sell aswell as books.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

I sold a Kenwood electric slicer 2 weeks ago, I have one of these myself and use it every day for HM bread and the sunday roast, so when I saw one at a boot sale for £3 UNUSED I just had to have it to sell on, I put it straight on amazon with a view to putting on ebay a few days later. It sold for £24 two days later, the fees were high, the postage higher but still a very good profit for virtually no work.0

What about CD's I've seen tons at a carboot this morning - didn't buy any should I??? Most were asking £1-2 but i suppose if I got them for 50p would I then make a profit??
What do you think? Do any of you make profits from CD's??0 -
Thats the problem, knowing how much the item will be too post and whether or not Amazon has the etc model listed.
When I sold the Motorola phone mine was blue but Amzons listing was black. I read on here that your litem should be exactly the same but I just put a note to say mine was blue and took the risk.
I saw a Bratz Boom Box for £17 today reduced from £69.99. I checked Amazon and its not listed. I also saw some cheap Knex, there are lots of Knex sets on Amazon but again not the one I seen. I have listed some Duplo, if it doesn't sell then thats my Xmas shopping started.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -

I've done quite well getting rid of my old cds but you do find that an awful lot of them are worth under a pound. As the postage allowance isn't that generous, it's hard to make much of a profit on those ones - better if you are pro merchant though obviously, as I was at the time I sold them.
However, you do get the odd ones that are worth more than you paid, rarer cds. I had a live Shirley Bassey album that I bought for 5.99 years ago (why?!?!) and I sold it for £25 as it was deleted and the only one available.
Might be tricky buying them from carboot as you won't know whether you are getting any good ones - 50p each won't get you much of a profit margin if they all end up being low price ones. Basically, the more mainstream the albums the less profit margin.0 -
Further to my message recently about a nutty buyer who had wrecked my feedback rating by giving me 1/5 and moaning that I'd ripped her off. Amazon removed her feedback
:D:D:D:D
First they replied and said that they sympathised, but were powerless to remove as she wasn't in breach of the participation agreement.
I nearly left it there but replied to them and said that I was very disappointed as I did feel that it breached the Amazon guidelines for leaving feedback. This morning I've had another email from them saying that on this occasion they have removed it.
Shame I sent the buyer a polite but frosty email last night asking her to retract her feedback. Hope that she doesn't work out what has happened and go back and reenter the neg now. Does anyone know if you get another opportunity to leave feedback if Amazon remove it? If not, I might send her another gloaty email telling her to disregard my comments as Amazon have removed her neg anyway.0 -
Good news Purplepatch. I think it comes up as You have already left feedback for this buyer.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Thanks Larmy. I've just had an email from Amazon confirming that she can't leave any further feedback, so my gloaty email to her has been sent.
I said she could disregard my earlier email as Amazon have deemed her comments unsuitable and have removed them themselves. But that I do hope that she takes my comments on board for any future transactions she may have on marketplace.:j:j:j

I don't know if you saw my post regarding the library book which my customer suspected had been stolen!? I am kind of in dread of his feedback if he gets one of the amazon requests. I just hope they miss him out. I find some of the buyers incredibly rude. Him for example. Sends me a very formal email virtually accusing me of stealing library books, and then when I send a reply to explain, does not bother to reply to that!!! There's nowt so queer as folk, that's for sure.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
