Hi Soolin,
I'd have thought there may be a niche market for those books in Arabic. I think I'd be tempted to pop them on Ebay if you aren't able to list them on Amazon.
After all we are very much a multi-racial country these days and I should think that books in Arabic are pretty hard to come by in the UK and could well be snapped up at the drop of a hat.
Mind you , you might need some help in deciphering the titles!AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0033 come and join us :j make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board0 -
HELP!!!!!!!!!!
I listed a mobile phone the other night. I had an email asking for a picture of it which I sent. I thought the seller was just asking for evidence that I have the phone. He then emailed to say he had paid and I had an email suposidly from Amazon.
The address was Nigeria  , this set alarm bells ringing from my ebay experience. I logged into Amazon and found my item still for sale. This is obviously a scam. IS there address which I forward the emails to at Amazon? I'll copy the emai below deleting some of my info.

AT I sent her the correct book today enclosing a note saying just what you said but I also said that though I hoped she was happy with the book, if she was not to return within 7 days and I would refund her. That may give her time to read the book and get a refund but you know what? I DON'T CARE!!!!!!!!!! Finicky pernickity buyers go awayGrocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Hi fishface! Welcome to the Amazon thread.
You probably have considered this, but just wanted to be sure that you are aware that amazon only give you £2.30 ish for postage, no matter how heavy the book is. We've seen a few people on here caught out when selling 1p books as the postage ends up being more than the amazon credit/fees and they end up out of pocket.
And you can't go by the prices other sellers are asking as often you will see heavy hardbacks going for a penny and there's no way that the seller is going to make anything out of it0 -

Thanks for the tip purple patch! I did wonder! If thats the case do the books ever sell if you list them above the 0.01p & if not is it worth putting them on? Will edit a few of them as cutting it fine on some!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

cheltune - well done on having your radar attuned to a scam - is there nowhere safe? did you manage to report it to Amazon?
fishface - purple was right to ask you to look at the weight of your books, it's the critical thing between making a small profit, no profit or even a loss - some of the heavy books you see with silly low prices will actually cost money to sell because of the postage, it would be cheaper to throw them in the bin, literally!..... giving them to a charity shop would be better of course but it doesn't sound as dramatic
Also don't think that when you list a book for 1p it gets put at the bottom of the list and won't get seen for months, not so, the first page is rotated so every book will eventually get to the first page.
You will be able to 'convert' to Aamzon very quickly from ebay selling, it's much easier in many ways like no paypal etc, annoying in others such as there are no counters on your books so you don't know if they are being seen and passed over because they are too expensive, you have to make a judgement on that if they don't sell in a reasonable period of time...good luck with the sales.0 -
Thanks AP, I have had two more idiots asking for info this evening, looking at their grammar they are obvious not British. I haven't reported it so far but will try now.
Make sure when you get emails from Amazon that you don't click links from them. Go to https://www.amazon.co.uk, log in and find the relevant info there.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
