I just want to say on behalf of anyone who is thinking about listing to just go eahead and do it. IT WAS SO SO EASY!!! Miles quicker than eBay. Nothing sold as yet, but then again there isn't any feedback for buyer confidence as yet ...

I"ve just been checking that i've still got the 'lowest price' for my listed books.

One of my books has been undercut by a large company ( US Based). THey have listed multiple entries of the same book ( over 10 separate entries..i spose they have lots of copies). Are they allowed to do this???..doesn't it say somewhere that you only put in one listing for identical books???

It's just that i don't think i'm ever gonna get to the top of the listings list, and it seems doubtful that my listing will be seen at all, as it's now on page 3!!!

    any tips, anyone!!
    thanks

They should have one listing with, say, 8 copies offered but if each book has a different description and condition category then they haven't done anything wrong EXCEPT as you say, taken valuable first page space.
I'd price match or just sit it out till they've sold a few and you nudge up a bit.

I have taken the plunge and registered on Amazon and listed a few books. However I please need some advice from experienced Amazon sellers as I am concerned about privacy. When I click on my seller name and then on 'view this sellers member profile', then my primary address is shown on the screen. When I look at other peoples profiles their primary address is not shown.

Hi sunlady, I just tried this with my own members profile page and no address came up (either postal address or email address) and I was logged in so I really don't know why you're seeing this on screen.

    Anyone else had this before?

I sold another book today, one of my more expensive ones at £10.99! (And I bought it a few years ago - and used it a lot - for £11.99; I know because there still was a price sticker on it :D)

I am so pleased I took the plunge and started selling on Amazon: it's been 3 sales in about 10 days (I've only got about 15 books listed as well). :)

Also tried this but no info came up such as my address - don't see where that would be on the page

I'm v pleased just sold a smallish paperback for £35 [I get £30.36 after the deductions]:j :j My other sales have been much more modest so this is brill. Just wondering about postal method as I don't want this precious number to get lost with no possibility of claiming.

For those of you more experienced in bigger sales, am I write in thinking the best option is Special Delivery? Would I have to ask for extra insurance or does that cover it? Any advice appreciated.

I know some other newbies were waiting for feedback, have to say I have none either but it really doesn't seem to affect sales or confidence so go for it - it does work. Waited a while for my first sale but they have been steady since, am so glad I took the plunge :D

Thanks to all for advice & support

Special delivery will cover you and it always impresses the buyer when it turns up and needs a signature.

Well done on such an impressive sale.

    Happy selling Teapot

Very impressive Teapot! I think that you're right about the feedback, it's nice to have it but it seems that it's not essential.

I had an interesting sale, it was for 2 books in the one order, I haven't had one of those before
