Out of the 28 items I've sold so far I've only had feedback on 6, but as they've been positive, I'm not gonna complain as I'd rather have that than quality rather than quantity in the feedbacks, if that makes sense.

I always email the buyer and say thanks for buying and I give them an idea when I'll be posting especially with all these bank holidays or I'll just say I'll get it sent off asap which covers everything!

Some have replied back but most not, and I've had one wierdo who turned into a min pen friend for a while, said she'd let me know when it arrived and leave feedback but never did either

I'm going under the assuption now, that no news is good news and what's has been posted has arrived safetly.

I was pootling through my book prices this morning and had a look at another sellers feedback. He was 89% with only 19 feedback.

He had one neutral 3/5 which said "Book in good condition, gr8 help for my uni course" - so why the neutral?

The second neutral said "Good service, book as described but why second class post (58p) when I have paid £2.75 p&p?"

I used to use second class post, but when I thought about the £2.75, which the buyer assumes we receive, it would seem out of order to them to receive something second class. I send mine first, just to avoid this kind of comment, however nobody did complain about the second class when I did!!!

Me again. I was wondering if you knew where your seller's t&c appears to a buyer, because I have never been able to find them??? In mine I had some spiel about using second class if the book was heavy but cheaply priced and also my preference for using recycled materials if possible, but I don't know where the buyer sees that even if they wanted to read it?????

Murtle I am glad you like my sig, I dreamed it up when someone was getting all hot and bothered on a thread about bands! You know it comes from that Michael Winner ad, "Calm down dear, its only a commercial":)

Ohh, must go check out D and D on Amazon as there is a very cheap DVD in my local charity shop window!

ACtually talking of charity shop windows half the window is currently full up with my books.I donated all the 1p books and too heavy books when I removed them all from Amazon and they are all there in the window priced from £5, there is even a ballet book with £15 on it that I discarded as it weighs a ton and only sells for £5 on Amazon so would net a loss. It is sort of odd to see all my things in there.

Bit of a weird one here, any advice?

I have had my first no show book, posted last Monday, still not arrived.

However, on closer examination of the buyer's address, the postcode doesn't tally with the address - the postcode brings up an address in a completely different part of London. It is as though the buyer amended the dispatch address prior to buying to their work address, but forgot to change the postcode from their home one (or something??). Hope that makes sense.

I'm guessing that has confused the post office. Anyone know where I stand with this as it's her mistake? A bit annoyed if I have to refund her when she's given me duff info.

Typical - it being a fairly low priced item and me being short on time, I took a chance and posted in a postbox so no proof of purchase either  so I'm not going to get it back either (wondering whether the PO would refund anyway where the item had been incorrectly addressed).
  • Even without a Proof Of Postage you can put a claim in but they don't guarantee to pay out then.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello as I haven't been around much lately - busy at work and also away on holidays (yes I did remember to switch on my holiday settings before I went!) I've been back just over a week and have had three sales, out of approximately 50 listed, so very pleased with that.
