I have around 400 listings now, but on the 350 that I have run for the last 6 months or so I sell 4 or 5 per week. A couple more would be a good week for me and a quiet week would be 1 or 2.

So probably around a similar ratio to you AT

I'm hoping for a few more sales now my stock has increased a bit. I must admit I'd like to run around 500 and sign up for the Pro Seller, but I just don't have the space!!

Yes I have had a quiet couple of weeks but things will pick up again soon I'm sure - you seem to get quiet patches and I've noticed that the 3rd week in the month can be slow as I assume people have already spent up and are wating for their salaries to be paid in!

    Best of luck to everyone

I did have about 400 listed but have removed some as after the postal increases I could no longer sell at a profit, in fact some would have turned me a loss. I also removed a number of 1p books for the same reason.

I'm down to about 280 books at the moment, and selling about 1 every 8 days. I have shifted some onto ebay and sell about 4-6 a week on there (about half of what I list) , but of course there isn't a real comparison as I only list the ones on ebay I think will sell, whereas everything goes onto Amazon.

I've just been offered some books by a complete stranger, knocked on my car window today as I unloaded my shopping and said that someone at Church had said I would take second hand books, so could I go and collect them from him? He's calling back in a day or two with details and he says he wants nothing for them, he just wants them taken away!

Only been at it for about six weeks. I've listed a totalo of 26 books and sold twenty of them, which sounds like a good rate to me. Problem is I don't seem to have the time to go through the house - we have bookcases overflowing in every room - when I do I will be able to put a few hundred on I would guess.

Posted two books at a good profit this morning... but I got it completely wrong with two ebay items I also posted. The postage wiped out all my profit :-(

Soolin I once sold a book about the Pyramids of Egypt - quite frankly it was in a right state and I described it as such, yet you could still read it!!! Somebody bought it - only £2.00 admittedly but it was a very light Penguin book so I did make a profit as it only cost me 20p.

Well thank the Lord, I finally had a sale today after only one last week! I was beginning to get really fed up. Those " Sold - Dispatch now" emails do so much for the psyche!!!!

I've just sold a couple more books on ebay for £3 a piece plus p and p, both were only 1p books on Amazon so I am quite pleased with the sales. Both were BIN shop items with best offer 'offered' but both were bought at full price with no offer made.
