10 things a day will make a huge difference to us all over time. It should be well worth doing! It is just going to be a case of maintaining it all, and not replacing it with new clutter.

When I get paid on Wednesday, I am going to treat myself to some clear stackable shoe boxes - my shoes are all thrown into the cupboard under the stairs......where they get lost and squashed, so I am going to sort them all this week, and stack them all where I can get to them......and that will involve throwing out about 50% of them I reckon, that are no longer wearable, or are not comfortable etc.......

Yes, thank you very much - it is far better now.....not enough, but better!! I am obviously sleeping "differently" too, because I am dreaming more, or at least I am aware that I am dreaming more which is quite bizarre really.

But overall I am sleeping better, so that is a good thing. When I wake up in the night, I am finding it easier to get back to sleep, whereas before, when I woke at 1am or 2am, it took me a couple of hours to get back to sleep!

Glad to hear that. Take care.

Well Hypno you certainly mobilised me on Sunday, so much so I did continue yesterday afternoon. Utility room is back to normal chaos instead of added under the stairs clutter. Chucked loads last night.

On the subject of sleep I love my bed at the moment all because I've given up the sauce. Sleep is a newly discovered activity. To sleep through the night for me was a rarity, particularly the trying to drift off again for 2 hours.

Another 10 things destined for new lives later today...

Morning.......a few hours extra in bed would do me nicely right now  Is it really only Tuesday

Banking done - no money has miraculously appeared but none has surprisingly gone out either so no charges will be incurred this month - I can't believe that we have now been over a year with only a couple of charges - before that, we were being charged most weeks.

St Miniver is down at the mo, so only scratched on virgin which gave 25p.

I hope you all have a good day x

  • Hypno, what a difference a year makes :) This time last year I was having panic attacks about how I was going to pay the bills.

It really can make a big difference when we start taking control of these things can't it!

Although Trainline are on Quidco, they charge a booking fee which usually exceeds the cashback. I now try to find a train/ticket on Trainline and then go to the web-site of the train company (eg First Crapital) instead.

Just retrieved this from yesterday. Olive, thank you! I'd completely forgotten about going to the carrier itself - stupid, as thats Virgin, bii-ii-iig company! Anyway, I'm trying for the 29th December, and their schedule only goes up to the 15th December. Boom Boom, as the saying goes. Thanks!

Z, the thing is, at the time of those photos, I thought I was huge- looking at the pics now, it is quite clear that I wasn't. My head certainly needs a good talking to in order that it stops deceiving me and sending me into self destruct mode

I look back at photos of myself 20 years ago, in my 20's and say "I didn't know I was that gorgeous!" DD and I were discussing this recently, she said that I'd looked "quite nice" :D and I told her I felt frumpy and awkward at the time......she has ugly days and yet she is a complete STUNNER! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:aren't we daft in our 20's????
