But I was listening to those people who said I could do with losing a lb or two...... Funnily enough, those same people who have said I am daft to send my children away skiing when I clearly can't afford it

Time for me to stop listening.....la la la, can't hear you, la la la!

  • I relate to many things in your diary which is why I am enjoying reading it so much. The ironing, for instance :D. I moved here over 2 years ago - I know where the ironing board is, I know where the ironing board cover is but I have absolutely no idea where the iron is . Am I bovvered?

I have finished my sorting for today - I have one or two more presents for Christmas than I thought I had (obviously ones I bought last year, then lost under the other clutter) so that will save me a bob or two :D

I need some proper storage boxes for some things......all the paperwork relating to my Dad's estate for example - needs to be stored properly rather than in bags in my wardrobe. I don't need to access it on a daily basis, but I may need to access it at some point, so must put it away properly.

I have also sorted out all the wrapping paper - it may sound insignificant, but those bloomin rolls of paper fall out of my wardrobe every time I open the door! No more! They are in a plastic box.....with a lid, no less!

Just thought I'd let you know that you had inspired me to deal with 10 things tonight before I go to bed. I was half way through when I realised that I hadn't switched off the laptop when my lil bro called!

The little things will turn into big things (she says wistfully...)

Back to it. Need to be in bed by 11 - part of the looking after me plan!
