Well my £20.00 is still in tact. But DS is new to the DFW ways and succumbed on day one .
We were mystery shopping in a few different high streets, yesterday afternoon, and continually passing our biggest weakness - SUBWAY. The first two times, we were strong, then he cracked first and ended up buying himself a meal deal, and he felt so sorry for me, that he bought me a turkey salad roll too. Bless him, he's only 10.
Lesson learnt is that I always need emergency food packed in car to give him, (me), to break our habit of spending any profits from MS before they are banked.. Glad to hear mum is doing well Karmacat. Hope you have a good day Hypno.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
So glad to hear your mum is OK Karmacat _party_
£20 still in tact! A good NSD yesterday. Would be a NSD today too but I'm going swimming tonight though so that will break it in unfortunately. Confirming my long held belief that exercise is bad for you! :rotfl:Pround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201

Thanks scrooge, thanks rainy! Both your posts gave me a little chuckle - imagining a little ten year old buying his mum a turkey salad roll, thats sooooo sweet. And exercise being bad for you, lol! Thats a good one.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hello - may I belatedly join in to the £20 challenge? Like Karma, I'll have a 'virtual' £20 as I tend to buy things on my 0% interest B*rclaycard rather than use real hard cash...
If so, then I started this morning and immediately 'blew' 96p on 8 bottles of sparkly water from Mr T's...I should just drink the free water at work but am very partial to 2 or 4 litres a day of sparkly water, it just goes down that much quicker...bad Kittikins! I'm skint as a skint thing and need to get new windows before the winter comes, so this challenge will be ideal.0 -

Well I could spend some of mine, becky.......but I'm not going to :rotfl:
MSE-wise - not too bad so far.....ebay is up to £35 with 13 watchers, ending Saturday, so should get a bit more than that...sold a dvd on Amazon, so a couple of quid profit there, and my inbox has several surveys in that I will do when I get home....

The bread for my sandwiches was rather past its best.....so I struggled to eat them, but tempting though the prawn and avocado on oatmeal from the deli nearby was, I carried on eating cardboard instead
Now going to make myself a lovely (!) sachet of fake-o-ccino to round the experience off nicely.
I could almost kid myself I am in Pret :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
