Well I am back already without new car as when I'd driven 25 miles they rang me to say it wasn't ready yet as when they MOT'd it another fault had shown up. Irritating but I am pleased they bothered to tell me and that they are fixing it at their expense... So cos DS has a school play tomorrow won't get my new brum brum (04 plate) until Thursday (boo hoo) - just hope nothing drops off my car in the meantime!
I think I will soon get the record for the quickest spender of my money as.... we had already booked to see harry potter tomorrow - and we will want popcorn and drinks which I know already would be around £12! I could of course say that was out of OH's money to get round that little difficulty (tra la la la la)
Actual spend this week
£5.06 lipstick
£35 petrol
£34 grocery top up (mostly bargains of course)
£22 haircut

Afternoon - nothing to report - DS now has rash on inner elbows!!! Glad the op went well KC. Well done on eating cardboard Hypno.
Only spent 1.27 on paracetamol for DS and a bag of crisps (hides quickly) for me. so have £18.73 left.0 -
My £20 is intact - the only time I went out of the house was to walk to my colleague's for a meetup, no spends - and we're getting heavy showers of rain now too, doesn't encourage me to go out. I might try to do some flapjacks - ones with a nice flavour, like coconut or something. Hopefully I've got the energy.
Thanks again for all the good wishes :kisses3::kisses3::kisses3: mum2one, beanie, savingholmes, taka, Surfbabe - she's home now, my brother's doing some bits of shopping for her (he was a househusband in his younger days!).2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Evening all
I am a bit narked! I ended up spending 90p on a drink that was going to be bought by someone else. Then I get 2 x £2 coins in the change - £2 coins cannot be spent and MUST go in the sealed tin!!!
What to do? I think I am going to swap the £2 coins for £1 coins that is my milk money for the fortnight and put the £2 coins in the sealed tin.
That still leaves me with £19.10.
Oh well - it is making me think about how I 'fritter' money so easily.
catch up soon.

...and that is really what this is all about - making us think about where our money is going, and what we can or can't do to change it and make it go a bit further!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. My £20 is still intact but I have spent £2.69 of it :rotfl:
I bought some pistachios and BOGOF cupcakes as part of shopping but they are for treats and therefore out of the 20 but seeing as I paid for it all on my cashback card. Does that make sense
So aiming for my shiny crisp twenty to be a reminder of staying on the straight and narrow for a while!Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

I'm declaring a NSD today.
I am also declaring that I am shattered. I feel as though I have hit a brick wall again. I hate it when it happens, and it happens too frequently
Well done to all who are still in possession of at least some of their £20 - day 2 and counting :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I have had brick wall shattered moments this week too, so can sympathise Hypno. Well done on the NSD too.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
