Yes, I have suffered more this year from hayfever than in previous years. I try not to take antihistimines because even the non-drowsy ones make me feel bleugh......and we all know that even at the best of times I have difficulty staying awake!!

Mine is still intact, but I was really tempted by a decent coffee this morning, and had to resist.......:o

You have difficulty in staying awake because you work 20 hour days.... 18, anyway :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Just have to come in with a bit of a hijack - I've just been speaking to my mum, she had an operation for skin cancer yesterday, which was actually 2 operations (one being plastic surgery) plus a 40 minute wait being kept under with the general anaesthetic - I was terrified for her, frankly, general anaesthesia is a big deal for someone in their 80s, but she's absolutely fine, absolutely herself. I'm so relieved I can't tell you :j:j:j

Really pleased that your mum is fine. My mum had skin cancer a few years ago on her face, and after a couple of ops - one to remove, one to re-construct, she is absolutely fine (although does have a slight obsession with sun cream and wearing wide brimmed hats!!).

Hugs for KC glad it all went well. I think we get more stressed when it's someone else having an op than if it's ourselves as we can do nothing but wait helplessly for good news.

You think I should ask for a purse with money in it on Freecycle-might fit in better with all the bods wanting Wii's Laptops and taxed and MOT'd cars !! ;)

An obsession like that is understandable, isn't it. I'm glad to hear she's doing well.

Our whole family is skin cancer prone - everyone of 50+ except me has had skin cancer or pre-skin cancer cells. I've avoided it, although my skin is so fair, because I stopped sunbathing when I was about 21, I got that prickly heat thing in Greece, and I'd never heard of it so I got scared way back then. Turns out it was the best thing I could've done.

Thanks Olive, thanks Verbatim! She'll be home later on today, being looked after by my brother :kisses3: and her only two complaints are that the toast in the hospital is made from white bread, and that with the dressing on her nose she looks like one of the flowerpot men! Can't be bad, hey :rotfl:
