We have closed cards down as we have paid them off so we don't have available credit (to avoid the temptation!).

Barclays won't lower the rate - already tried that one.

Ah well, if I get time today I will get in touch and see what they say. Based on their previous communications though, I don't expect them to actually give me anything approaching an explanation.....

Scratchcards and banking now await......onwards and ever further onwards!

50p on the scratchcard, no money appearing or disappearing from the bank. Virgin are late requesting my direct debit again though, so I need to keep a close eye on that as there is no reason for them not to have it, and I have checked the DD is set up ok....

We are still awaiting payment for these students......it is supposed to come half way through their visit - we are now 2/3 way through and they go home on Saturday, so again, another phone call due if it is not in today's post

China has to be paid for by Friday - so all hands to the pump this week really

Oh dear - £20 is well gone.

DH was having a bad night yesterday so once he found my purse it was decided that a carry out Chinese & a bottle of wine was required.

    At least it tasted good...

That doesn't sound too good - Hope he soon recovers.

I am aiming for another NSD today - can't think of anything that I would need to spend money on today, and have brought sandwiches for lunch with me, so I should be able to avoid temptation.....

KC - How can you "spend" a virtual £20 note? I am confused - does that mean that if you "think" about buying a yummy pastry, you deduct the cost from your virtual £20  If that is the case, then mine would be gone even quicker than Mudbath's has :o

Ah ..... no! :D What I was thinking was that if I *buy* something that isn't essential, I'll make a note of it and confess all.... otherwise, which money is what in my purse is just going to get too complicated, I don't think I could hack that. :o:o:o I don't know how you've been managing that, are you having two purses?

I have to make things complicated, you know, its part of my contract!:o:o:o

Two purses sounds a good idea-big padlock needed on the non essentials one though ;)
(If I go out and buy a 2nd purse.......does it count as essential spending though ? ;) )

No no no! You're supposed to say "no thats fine, don't worry, thats a wonderful idea, why didn't I think of that! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Actually, that makes sense of you having an uber-compartmentalised brain :D....whereas my brain is mushed up. And I've just realised why - I thought I had a virus, for like 12 days now, but the gmtv weather forecast mentioned the grass pollen season coming to an end. And I think its something to do with that, seeing as wot I'm allergic to grass pollen ***KC dives off to find the antihistamines ****
