Wow, what a discussion! I have a French current account too, so that takes my total up to 8. And I have a moneybookers account with half a euro in.

And I missed the chocolates :( Never mind, sniffing chocolate rather than eating it is better for you ... :) and Taka... you made a nosestud? I'm impressed, I'm deffo impressed.

Hypno, I wonder if there's anything to Hiphouse's idea? .... I wonder if the credit check thingies don't take account initially of ability to borrow, they count up the number of accounts first? Taka, you've got almost the same number as Hypno, is that a problem for you, do you know? Its just interesting, we *know* they're basing refusal of new b.t. cards, for instance, on *something*, and since its nothing logical, it must be something crazy. Just wondering out loud.....

EDIT - I was too long typing! Bye Hypno, have a good journey in ....and well done you!

Hiphouse: glad the fire wasn't anything serious.

    Morning guys.

I have just done a dooyoo review, and have requested my latest £50 cheque now that my miles have validated. I hope to be able to request another one by the end of September.

I woke DS up this morning convinced today was Thursday-ooops. One more day for results. He ended up only taking Maths AS this year due to not picking the right 6th form to suit his disability and is moving to a full IT course in September so it isn't vital he got good results this year but it'd take off the pressure for next year a little with the extra UCAS points and boost his low confidence levels.
I don't know if I like this checking your results on-line. Much easier but those days of going to get the results and sharing were kind of fun.

Didn;t think you could get your results online - DD can check with UCAs as to whether she has had her place at Uni confirmed but still has to wait to get her piece of paper from school with exam results on.

Checking with UCAS is great though (been there 2 yrs ago with DS) as they can have got over the initial disappointment if they didn;t get the Uni they wanted and can have already thought about what to do before going into school for results. My DD school have all the senior staff on hand to speak to admissions departments to give verbal references and reasosn why they should take the student.

Good luck for you son 2mrw

This is Edexcel -they CAN also go to college to get them too but we were sent a pw and pin number for online checking. Quite handy as the college is moving to a new campus and I reckon it might be a bit chaotic as no-one will know where to go (although also a chance for a look around as we're away for the official opening day next week).

Good luck to everyone waiting for results! My DD has just one GCSE result for a subject she did early, so not so much pressure there, compared with next year! However, she is away next week on her "free" holiday with friends, so I won't know her result until she gets back.......bah!!
