Bet I'm too late for choccies...doh!!!
I must be the worst...I only have a current account and mortgage account at the moment...how bads that!!!0 -
20 accounts! Eek!
I don't have any financial experience, but Hypno, do you think that 20 accounts might put off a lender from giving you more money/a better deal on the money you already owe? I'd be a bit anxious if someone asked to borrow some money from me and told me they'd borrowed from 19 other friends too.I know that's not how financial markets work
... actually scrap that, I DON'T know how financial markets work, hence typing this note
Fire alarms going... got to go...0 -

I think that should be - how good is that. Its rather confusing having this many...
Hiphouse - surely that would only make a difference if you have loads of ODs on loads of accounts?I've only got an (unused) OD on 1 account as a "just in case". I just confuse myself trying to keep my savings pots in decent paying accounts.

Hiphouse, I don't owe money on those accounts - they are current accounts that are used for different reasons - kids activities/housekeeping/debt repayments/matched betting, and savings accounts.
I owe money to three people.....Egg (almost gone), Barclayloan, Virgin 0% and the Halifax (mortgage and secured loan).
I do need a tidy up of accounts that are not being used, granted, but I don't think it will affect my credit rating because they have no facility to borrow money on them even if I wanted toSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Morning! My post last night about the accounts was just an idea... I find it odd that you can't balance transfer from Barclays to a lower rate and wondered if the number of accounts might be a factor. I'd be curious to know what it is with the banks that stops them offering you a good deal - though I'm probably not quite as curious as you are
Fire alarm last night was basement flat burning food. Had all the flats out on the street - a good way to meet the neighbours!

The answer to this is simple. It is how they feel when they get up in the morning. If they have had a good nights sleep then you get a good deal, if not then tough luck. :rotfl:
