    Thanks Raquela :T

I've not had any problem with the halifax online site so far (and I have been using it for about 10 years now) so I highly recommend it!

I ran through the figures with OH this evening.......he went through the "no wonder we're always skint if you keep paying extra off the debt" bit.....right the way through to "There's a bike that's only £480 deposit then x number of payments for 2 years on 0% finance".......

ooh dear, I have to say, I'm glad I don't have to try and get an OH into money saving! My last partner was terrible, always buying himself presents! He earnt over three times what I do now and never had any money because he was always buying himself little things! That said, I have had to have arguments with myself in the past when i wanted to buy something 'now' instead of save or not buy it at all! My worst vice was insomniacal middle of the night Amazon shopping ... let's say no more, other than my laptop is banned from my bedroom now!

Given up on the Halifax site already - I think it must be a mac / firefox thing, it never works properly for me - pain in the bum when I need to pay a bill online! I've been with them for years and years, and must admit, never had a problem with their online banking til I got this laptop. But I was thinking I might just pay everything into the ISA I have with them, set up my 'envelopes' I've been using to track what the amounts are for, as I get better interest (it seems) on whats in there than what they are currently paying out on websaver accounts. I've never taken money out of the ISA without good reason, so in theory I won't go too far wrong doing that - hope those weren't famous last words!:rotfl:

When Egg get it right - they are really really good - and it is such a shame that they seem to get it so wrong for me, because their products are really good!

I have a savings account too with them, although it is now almost empty, just as an act of protest as much as anything else (oh, and the fact that I don't actually have any spare money, might be a contributing factor ) but if I were a serious saver, I would be looking at it as it is one of the best rates around.......

instead......I've just done another dooyoo review
