Good afternoon all. Shaun - don't forget your daily exercises - hup two three, down two three, then the other eyelid.......
Hypno - perhaps the monthly payment from the Egg Loan can be added to the payments for the others, bringing their totals down. Plus you would have the psychological boost of one less creditor....
becky - that backa wacka coffee or whatever it is sounds illegal - have you heard that there is a very very expensive coffee where the coffee berries are eaten by civet cats and excreted in their faeces before being roasted? Sounds like a shaggy dog story but I'm sure I have heard it is true somewhere....One life - your life - live it!0 -

Darn it, I went AWOL for a couple of hours and missed the coffee and cake
I suddenly decided (as one does) that I was going to attack the garden. So suitably dressed in shorts, vest top and flip flops, I have dug, pulled, dragged, and ended up with three huge heeps of stuff on my patio.
I showed no mercy. It mattered not whether it was pretty, established, expensive, fruitful.......it is now a case of "if it doesn't grow in a pot, it won't have chance to grow at all"
I have to be realistic - what I optimistically called my "kitchen garden" is going to become a low maintenance seating area......ie a gravel area that I can put my table & chairs on.....
My garden is like my house - not huge but not a bad size for what it is ie a house on a modern estate. But when it is cluttered and unloved it looks and feels quite depressing. When it is clear and tidy it feels much bigger and more calm.
I am devising a 12 month house plan. Every month, one room or the garden (which will count as a room for the purposes of this project) will get "done".
Some are bigger projects than others. Some just need a lick of paint and a freshen up. Some need replastering etc. Some just need a bloody good clear out.
So, I have started August's project early which is the outside of the house. I have arranged for the garden rubbish that now adorns my patio to be cleared when I am away, and for a nuisance palm tree that sheds its leaves throughout the neighbourhood, to be taken down and taken away.
Of course we have minimal budget to do this all on, so it will be a case of making the most of what we have got in many ways, but if I concentrate on a room a month, it shouldn't ever be too daunting or too expensive.
Then.....the garage will have a 12 month project all of its own :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Now that is my kinda thinking Bob! xxx
Hi Hypno,
I think I'd want to get shot of a creditor especially if it was Egg, they have been kinda ok with me but I never trust them, convinced that they are ripping me off with the interest some how!!
But then the interest on the other one. ouch.
hmmm. nope I'd still get shot of egg!
have a successful debt busting after noon
xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
The MSE site is proud to announce a new service for all DFW's - get Hypno to feng shui your garden - a source of income for her, a chilled out environment for you.....One life - your life - live it!0

You never cease to be an inspiration Hypno you are brilliant xxxxx
I like the one room a month idea. I am toying with one room a week whilst on Holiday (cos I do have a lot time which I should be making more use of!) and it really needs a good tidy up, not decorating before you think I have gone nuts!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
I dont have a garden but she can organise my room as well if she likes...
Or even better my flatmates
Good luck with the garden Hypno - I think you are almost as crazy as Shaun sometimes0
