Whichever way it goes, it will be heading towards debt freedom!
I have to admit, I am tempted to get rid off the Egg loan - that will leave us just three debts:
Barclayloan
Secured Loan
Virgin 0% until June 2010
Clearing the barclayloan is always going to be the difficult one due to the fact it can't be done bit by bit. But at 24.9% APR it really is an extortionate rate, so if I can get rid sooner, I really should!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Morning - leg itches like hell !!! tablets are the size of mars bar (well not quite but they are big) and have to be taken in one swallow !!!!
Missing swimming - I was just getting back to a good level of fitness too ........... oh well enforced rest and at least the sun is shining today. No surprises on banking front, but must do accounts today.
Am making chicken stock from carcass - had roast chicken on Sunday, cold chicken yesterday and chicken risotto tonight - not bad for 4 adults really.
Chocloate brownines turned out ok as well.
Off to see if I can shower without getting blisters wet ...!?!?!0 -
It is a difficult one Hypno, but exciting that it is all doable.

:hello::hello::hello: Hello! I'm back from France, have been reading through all the doings on here. France was interesting ... we had a few afternoons out, including to a lovely little Normandy village called Lassay les Chateaux, but there were so many tradesmen to deal with, there was quite a lot going on.
Plus my nephew gave me and my sister swine flu  I've got an authorisation code for Tamiflu, but the ***useless*** helpline also recommended I speak to my doctor, which I much preferred. She said that given the infection path we know of, and the level of contagion, it probably *is* swine flu - but I've already been symptomatic for 5 days, so there's not much point taking tamiflu now, and I *am* walking wounded, not flat on my back (tho I'd quite like to be flat on my back, I must say).
So there we go, what I did on my holidays: learned about the interaction of ibuprofen and paracetemol!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
AWW KC, hope you feel better soon, Pants when that happens on holiday.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi Bob! Yep, it wasn't great. As a holiday, it was always going to be a little weird - the plumber, the builder, the estate agent, the weeding of the gravel (me), the woodworm man, the local odd job man cutting the grass, and telling all these people, in our pidgin French, that my brother in law is dead, but both of us having flu really tested the limits! Plus avoiding the snakes.
Still, we chatted to the cows in the field next door. And family from the other end of the departement dropped in on these big BMW 1200cc bikes, which was fun. And the local patisserie was as good as ever - we had "religieuses", *massive* profiterole dumplings, filled with chocolate creme anglaise and coffee too. Fantastic.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
