. And the local patisserie was as good as ever - we had "religieuses", *massive* profiterole dumplings, filled with chocolate creme anglaise and coffee too. Fantastic.

Oi! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I came on here for some sympathy! Mind you, best tonic in the world, the classic British p-take! I was reading The Bodyguard's Story over the hol, about Princess Diana's bodyguard, and he reckoned his rugby club mates, among others, kept him sane, by doing exactly that :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Off out to get some coffee at lunchietime - any orders??
I am getting this one:
'Our new crop of Sumatra - Na Bagak Bagak - comes from the Lake Toba region in Sumatra. The farms here are comparatively small, just one to two hectares on average, and they grow a variety of different crops for local consumption as well as coffee for the local and international markets. Each farm has a very small micro mill which consists of a hand-turned depulper and a small patio or drying area for coffee. Generally the farmer will pick coffee with the help of family members rather than employing seasonal workers. The coffee is collected from approximately 170 farms around the district and collated at the Na Bagak Bagak collecting station before moving to Sarimakmur’s mill in Medan for final processing, milling and grading. Sarimakmur employ over 800 people in their Medan facility and the coffee is graded to exacting standards. Consequently the coffee that arrives to us is well presented and produces a clean and sweet cup.'
And I may get a cake too0 -
Ooh, yes, an Americano of that Na Bagak Bagak, please, with an extra shot of espresso in it. Ta muchly.
Oh, while I was away, I finally broke into my £20 - two bottles of wine and a bottle of proper sauce for creme caramel, the real burnt sugar stuff - came to 5 euros..... um.... £4?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
