These places must hate it when they get people from MSE or CAG who actually know what they are doing and who are not afraid to challenge things :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. It was a three out of three shocker for Wednesday!!
Car passed MOT
Cat on the mend
Rainy...got the job!!:j:T:j:T:j
Took the call this morning, they had tried to get hold of me yesterday but of course I am screening my calls from those who only write in red ink and hit the redial button every half an hour.
PLUS...They have offered me more money!! 2K a year to be exact! So not a struggle level wage after all. (Higher education, it's all done on scales of pay and I've only ever known it to be the very bottom end of the scale, never half way up it! Yay!)
Have just done my pro rata workings out and it is still pittance for the big dogs but it is better than the present £1! Plus if I manage to keep my Ebaying up that income will be solely dedicated to paying off the debts.
So thanks to you folks who sent over their positive vibes, it worked!

That's excellent news, Rainy. :T :T :T
Don't commit yourself, yet, to any increased offers before you talk through your 'new' situation with CCCS.
PS - What's your secret - I've been, unsuccessfully, applying for jobs for two years   Looks as though I'm doomed to finishing my working life as an ASDA 'Home Shop Delivery Driver. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Seriously though, Rainy - good luck with the new job, and tackle the rest of it 'one stage at a time'. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi, Rainy. Just wanted to say I think you are doing fantastically - really taking the challenge head on. Well done, you. And wonderful news on the job front (and the cat front and the car front). It is very inspiring reading of your determination. Go girl!"Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Thanks everybody
I start 2 weeks on Monday. And, just like buses, I got through to the second stage of the job I went for last night too. It looks like an absolutely amazing and dream place to work but the role is only temporary and I don't want to be caught out again with no work after Xmas. So I shall be gracefully declining!
I wish I knew the secret to share. I was looking for 'only' 9 months. I hit lucky that a job came up that I had done pretty much like for like before. I actually quite fancied a driving/delivery job - I even applied for a couple!
I'll be on the phone this afternoon to CCCS to update them and see what further advice they have. I still have an appointment for the CCCVA, their IVA service, which I have kept just to hear what they have to say and drink up a little more information, even though I have made my mind up on them!
Just about to compile my notice for the ad hoc stuff I've been doing. Hopefully they'll accept my proposed week as then in the week before the new job use it as full time operation de-clutter, Ebay and house sorting.:cool:Pround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201

Off to my job open evening now, hopefully something will come off it...even if it's just a free tea/coffee!:money:
Just remembered, there was FREE orange juice and snacks. There was also a goodie bag which I was very much looking forward to but as I was interviewed early on, I got the tour of the offices which lead us past the exit so they led us straight out! HOW RUDE! That's how they turnover 14billion a year, false promises! :rotfl:Pround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201
