Don't WORRY about the interview - instead take time out today to visualise yourself going through the whole process.....that way, when you arrive there, you will feel much more prepared for whatever comes your way.

I have spoken to the CCCS about BR and they gave me thinking time on a possible IVA but I have decided through careful research that I don't think an IVA is the solution for me, for various reasons.
I also found out, which I didn't realise, is that if the stat demand issued against me goes on to them petitioning BR, I can actually defend it in court. I thought it was cut and dried as soon as they hit the big red button.
Hi Rainy
First of all, well done for talking to CCCS. :T
Some good advice from them. Personalyy, I would think extremely hard before considering an IVA - it does work for some, although there are many 'risks' associated with the process, not least of which would be the almost inevitable consequence of Bankruptcy should your IVA fail for any reason.
Have a look at Martin's guide to whether or not an IVA could be suitable in your situation - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/pdf-iva-guide.pdf
And yes, you are entitled to 'defend' the petition for your bankruptcy, in court. The 'success' of your defence will, however, depend on lots of factors, not least of which will be 'due process'. To clarify - at my Bankruptcy hearing, the judge asked me if I 'agreed' with the case against me - I told him that I did not, and had been 'arguing' my position, with HMRC, for several years and that I knew that I did not owe them the money that they claimed. He looked, very briefly, at the file and explained to me (in a very gentlemanly way, I hasten to add) that, since HMRC had obtained a CCJ against me (we had tried to lodge a defence at the County Court, but were unsuccessful) and I had 'defaulted' against that CCJ (which demanded full payment within 28 days) resulting in HMRC serving me with the SD, then they (HMRC) had followed 'Due Process' and it was not his 'role' to query the CCJ, therefore his only option was to agree to HMRC's petition for my Bankruptcy.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I will definitely do that, thanks hypno.
Usually things like this don't get me worried but there's never been so much riding on getting a job before. Putting a bit too much pressure on I think! I am actually one of the rare people that quite enjoy interviewsand I know that I have done a very similar job in the past so I will keep those two points at the forefront of my mind!
