Time is speeding past quite scarily!
Manic busy at work which means I am doing over-overtime. Would be ok if it was paid but it's a time off in lieu situation so will have to make the most of it that way when things calm down a bit!
My budget for this month is going really well, I am £44 below my shopping budget and a whopping £247 below my general budget. It has really helped not having to fork out £45-£50 per week on petrol :j
I am of course still receiving flurries of letters from those who only write in red ink but I am dealing with them as and when they come in and producing my Hiiiyaa!! letters right back at them!
Problems still persist with the usual suspects - Barclaycard, Lloyds TSB Credit Card, and now The AA's designated collection agency are back on the case. I have politely pointed out the agreement I currently have with their client so we'll see if they take any notice of that!
Also some joy on my bank charges debate with Alliance and Leicester. After saying they hadn't received my information 3 times () via their computer generated means, an individual letter has confirmed repayment of £400 :jwhich means that they have also covered the original bill that was taken out by direct debit in error causing the bank charges in the first place! :j

Ooh! Also 6 days til payday!
I am slightly worried that I am not so much looking forward to having the money but looking forward to getting my spreadsheets, snowballs, budgets, saving pots, debt pots, coloured squares and number crunching on the go!Pround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201

Tired and a little bit ill with sore throat and start of a cold but still gearing up ready for a car boot tomorrow!
Did so well last week I'm doing another while the weather is still nice-ish. We made over £115 last week which was so much more than expected. £30 of that did go on an extravagant treat for me...I had my hair cut for the first time in 18 months! Felt quite guilty but the bit of pampering was lovely for a change. The other chunk of course went into the debt pot.
I also explained quite a bit of what was going on debt-wise to OH yesterday. I had to try and explain what happens to my wages on payday as he was under the impression that I'd have loads of money next week
His eyes glazed over as I explained how much I have to budget and that I do it everyday. He said I should have just gone bankrupt. I ducked out at this point and just assured him that I had it under control and not to worry his little head *sigh* Nothing like a bit of support! :rotfl:Pround to be dealing with my debts! Hope you are feeling better soon! Sorry your OH not that supportive over debt. My OH is glad I'm dealing with it but won't do anything proactive about it himself. Really well done on the car boot sale - you did amazingly well. We earned about £40 at the one and only one I ever did.
Hope it goes well car booting tomorrow!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I shouldn't moan too much about the OH really as I think if he were to get more involved it would complicate matters even further! It's all mapped out in my head (and on spreadsheets and snowballs and bits of paper) and an invasion of that doesn't sound too appealing!
Had another great car boot yesterday, despite feeling under the weather. I might be going for the triple this Sunday if the weather stays dry. £68 this time round :j Would have been £71 but I made the rookie mistake of having a look at the other cars wares and picked up a belt and a couple of lovely picture frames. My theory was that I'd be paying much more for them new and they are originals that practically no one else will have. Always good at justifying spending
Am looking forward to the good ol' monthly overhaul of THE DEBT FOLDER which I'll do once I've seen my payslip. I'll be writing my list in a bit to keep me in line, something I haven't done for a while and must get back into the habit of! Organisation is key!Pround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201

So when the banking shows wages tomorrow (hopefully!!) I can have a play with the imoneymanager software and my snowball to get some figures together for the creditors up for review.
I'm considering looking into full and final settlements if at all possible, just a bit unsure on how to approach it and where to start with a figure to offer them really *slinks off to research in the MSE pot of knowledge* :rotfl:Pround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201

Well things certainly look a whole lot clearer since you started - even before payday! And well done on the car boot sales - they have given you a good amount of money.
Would it be worth getting rid of the tiddly ones - 02 and Three? It would be two less bits of paperwork and phone calls that you have to expend your energy on, giving you much more fight for the bigger ones? A couple of car boots would see the back of them.
As for full and finals - head over to the DMP support thread where I am sure they will have some good starting figues for you.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Well done Rainy you sound so much more organised and positive now. Think I would agree with hypno and get rid of the titchy ones too! Thats only 14 items then, you can then work to get your list in single figures. Way to go girl:TVisa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Sorry forgot to mention my OH is the same re debt too, but he seems to be coming round to my way of thinking now Ive told him just how much weve paid off since last year. We would have €400 a week to ourselves too if we had no debt to pay back, try that approach! Good luck:TVisa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0.
