To Clean Or Not To Clean?

When we last moved my vacumn gave up the ghost as I was cleaning through just before we left. I was so embarrassed I called round a couple of days later to apologise to the new occupant. She invited me in for a cup of tea and we have been friends ever since, even if sometimes when I go round I don't like the way they've decorated my old house!0

I absolutely think you should clean the house before you move. We moved last year and the new house hadn't been cleaned for months. Our new neighbours told us that the seller had left the house with her two teenagers in it unsupervised. It was disgusting - I nearly sat down and cried, especially as I'd left the old house spotless. We had to chuck out all the carpets and the general dirt brought out a flare up in one child's eczema and the other one's asthma! SO anyway , do as you would be done by!Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0

I'm a different situation that a builder has bought my house and will probably be gutting it. So would everybody still give it a good going over? I suffer from arthritis (that's why I'm moving) so it will be hard work for me
it's not filthy just run down. I've always kept on top of it until recently. So what do people think?
