There are some fab things on there Pip's Mum. I keep bookmarking links in my "Christmas" folder and there are so many ideas around that I'd love to do, my problem is that I need to find time to sit down and go through everything and make a decision on what I'm actually going to make and commit myself to doing it! There aren't enough days in the week, I want to start a petition for a longer weekend lol.

I did well at the boot sale I went to yesterday, I got the following bits...

A Darth Vader mug with his face coming out the side of it 3d like for £2.50 (It was in fab condition)

An absolute bargain of an unused unopened cocktail set from Boots that should have been either £15 or £7 (don't have it to hand to check the label) and I got it for a pound!

A decent sized Mr Blobby teddy for 50p (my friend's financee loves him!)

A very small Easter egg type wicker basket with a handle for 20p

A cocktail shaker and bottle opener for 70p

Two unopened Disney Princess make your own bracelet sets including all the gems, charms and actual bracelets, both for £2.90 (he wanted three pounds but I was 10p short lol). These are perfect for our nieces.

Hope you don't mind the multiple posts, catching up after work.

    1 x pyjamas

1 x love heart bag with the word 'love' spelt out on it (10p in woollies closing down sale)
and that can go in the pink love heart bag if I can fit it all in there if not a nice gift bag and that's cost me about £6 with one of the 2 for £8 pyjamas sets in ethol Austin.

    That's k, glad I could help.

I've dug out my present list from last year and here's the contents of another hamper I did last year for my boyfriend's mum:

A perfume atomiser (about three pounds from The Body Shop)
A mini sewing kit (one or two pounds from Morrisons)
A mini shower gel set (M&S outlet store, couple of pounds)
Christmas bath bubbles (Avon £1 from last year's January's sale)
    Strawberry scented candle (Poundland)
    Rotating ashtray (Poundland)
A luxury body puff thing (The Body Shop, a couple of pounds)
A mini hairbrush (The Body Shop, a couple of pounds)
A dream catcher (£1.75 from a bits and bobs shop)
Turkish delights - her favourite (Poundland)
    Bottle of her favourite alcohol

I filled the hamper with metalic blue shredding as it is her favourite colour. She loved it as it was a really personally thought out present.

I did two garden hampers, the first had:

    Ladies patterned garden tools (Poundland)
Four soaps tied with straw (Poundland)
Grow your own peppermint tea - the receipent's favourite (Poundland)
    Truffles (Poundland)
A luxury flannel (The Body Shop)
A nail brush (unwanted gift from a pamper present)
    Gardening gloves (Wilkinsons)
    Gardening book

    Second gardening hamper:

    World's best gardener mug (Wilkinsons)
    Gardener's soap (Wilkinsons)
    Kneeling matt (Wilkinsons)
    Prodding soil stick (Poundland)
5 year gardening diary and planner (Wilkinsons)

Thanks for that, hearing what other people have done has been quite inspirational...do you have pics on the hamper thread? I've made a pretty good start with MIL, she would take a photograph over a "real present" any day - she's quite sentimental - so used a code I got off the freebie board to order a photobook from Jessops full of pics of the kids, i've got a really lovely frame from the Range to put a pic of all of us in, and i'm going to get the kids handprints done at a place in Sittingbourne onto something or other. I'm a little bit more stuck for his Dad though, he's not really into anything other than Status Quo and Westerns

Has he got the Status Quo Christmas single from last year? Just thinking you could make some kind of Quo hamper based around that. I know last year play.com were selling old Quo Albums 3 for £10, which is good to update ones that he might only have on vinyl. I bought a load for my husband last year (he is a massive Quo fan too). They are on tour in the UK around Christmas (as usual) so you might be able to pick something up to do with that?

Where do the cards come from Sammy? I've never seen them before and they sound fab for family that aren't close enough to buy pressies for!

Try £1 shop for Radox sammy kaye - not sure if they'll still have them
There was a lot of Charles Worthington hair stuff last week when I went in as well.

Boots often have Radox on bogof as well - made the mistake of buying 6 one year and they were horrendously heavy to drag back to the car :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
