Welcome FMW.
Here are some hamper ideas:
Baskets
I get my hamper baskets from Wilkinsons for £3: http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/Bathroom-Storage/Wicker-Basket/invt/0166779
I agree - I use these baskets too for my hampers and the £3 one is nice but the £2 one is deceptively small.
Also I find if you are doing a pamper hamper - a small towel of pair of PJS fills the bottom of it quite nicely if you don't want to shred paper etc.
Also if you are looking to do a hamper here if you mention the theme am sure someone could come up with a suitable container idea. For example a car kit could be put into a bucket, a cooking hamper could maybe be put in a wok if its oriental themed. etcIf you are stuck for ideas tell us the kind of person they are and what type of things they like and are interested in and I'm sure we'll be able to come up with some ideas.
I have done several hampers from pamper hampers, childhood hampers, girly night in hampers, movie hampers, gamers hamper, cocktail hamper , cooking hamper, gardening hamper and my favourite one was the spot of tea hamper I did for my nan last yearMaking Changes To Save My LifeCurrent weightloss - 2lbs (week 1)0 -
Congratulations all you mums to be! I'm not planning to be a member of the club just yet but in time. I am broody but the time isn't quite right for us just yet.
After hearing you all frequently discuss Home Bargains, I've just found their website and there aren't any stores near me what-so-ever, they are all up north and I'm in the south-east. I did find this though which maybe of interest to you, they are launching another 30 odd stores: http://www.thegrocer.co.uk/articles.aspx?page=articles&ID=201600
I am going to a boot sale tomorrow and can't wait! Hoping I pick up some great finds.
Hi Lucy Lu - I know the feeling about Home Bargains, they have been going on about them for years and I too live in South East (Medway) so miss out. We do now have a Range shop in Chatham Dockside Outlet Centre and our old Woolworths opened as a big 99p store so getting a bit better.
Our boot fair had a sign up the other day saying they were moving to somewhere near Strood so wont be able to get to that anymore by foot which will be a shame.0 -
supposabley we have a Home Bargains about to take over our closed down Woolworths store in our centre - although there is only about 25 shops in it in total.
Although confused me somewhat because then we'd have a pound land, wilkinsons, B&M store and a Home Bargain all within seeing distance of each other - oh well makes for cheap shopping I guess. :TMaking Changes To Save My LifeCurrent weightloss - 2lbs (week 1)0 -

What did you get ?
I got the family life planner, a budget planner and a multipack of their reward stickers - they look fantastic, I can't wait for them to arrive!
Lucy - Thanks so much for all the info, i'm really excited about doing hampers this year - i'm only going to do them for the adults though I think, the kids usually have lists so they're pretty easy to buy for! I just find the adults are so hard to buy for and you end up spending loads on something they're probably not going to be that keen on anyway. Hopefully with a little bit of forward planning i'll end up with somthing really impressive for less than i'd usually spend!Mummy to 4, Grafter, Comper, Blogger

I'm in Medway too, don't ya just love the Range?! Actually, might go have a look there for my hamper baskets. Which bootfair is it? There's one starting on the 9th at the field just by the Upnor turning on the dual carriageway....Mummy to 4, Grafter, Comper, Blogger
