    Hi all
Busy day - young girl came to mop kitchen floor for me and hoover upstairs and down..........brilliant she is :j
Got me motivated to have a go at the bathroom ! (was worse than I'd thought.......)
OH had another rough night and has gone back to see GP for some stronger painkillers.............seems to think once he's had his scan tomorrow he'll feel better........maybe he will mentally, be one stage further to knowing whats going on. Just hope they don't keep us waiting for the results too long and the 4 days we've been told doesn't turn into a fortnight
Anyway, on a brighter note (mustn't become a whinger) Just received my 'Night before Christmas' DVD -£2.49 and free postage :j So thats something for little grandsons christmas eve box.
Done nothing else in the christmassy line...........decorator chap coming in the morning to wash down kitchen walls ready for painting and we're off to hospital so I might not be around tomorrow.
Don't work too hard all of you................:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

My daughter has just discovered the joys of harry potter, I have managed to find figures for £1.99 at toys r us, and the great hall playset that are between £30 to £50 for £14.99 at smyths toyshop online, this comes with the professor mcgonagall figure which alone is on eBay for 14.99, I think I got myself a fab deal.

Hi guys hope your all doing ok. Good luck for tomorrow Mary.

Not done much christmassy today but did come up with an idea for my Dad yesterday. I've bought him a grumpy old man mug from lakeland for christmas but I am going to fill it with mint humbugs. What do you think?

    See you soon xXx
  • Fedupandskint - Keep the bargains coming. We here to money save.

Mary - Good luck for tomorrow. Will be thinking of you both.

Shevs - Love the idea of the grumpy old man mug and humbugs.

I did quite a lot of organising and wrapping pressies this morning. Almost got mine already to post off to various relatives around the country now as we are having Christmas at home this year mostly due ot my husband still not being able to drive after a accident last October. I am hoping i can start to have driving lessons in the new year.

Also my mum is staying with us over Christmas so i am going to spoil her abit and am going to do her a Xmas eve hamper too. I have done the childrens apart from the Snowman Soup.

Right better go get my lot bathed and ready for bed.

Thanks Shev and 3 cheeky princesses for your kind thoughts. Thankfully it seems the extra strong painkillers are making things easier for OH.........he had a lay down while I had a meeting going on and said he felt a lot better than he did. Hope it lasts till we get results.

Shevs - love the mint humbug idea..........done it myself with some spare little jars for a few folk (not OH -he doesn't like them)........filled them with humbugs, printed off Bah Humbug label and found a bah humbug smiley face wearing a santa hat on google images................lol

Love the thought of that Bah Humbug Grumpy Old Man Idea!

Just had a flick through my Nigella Christmas Book to search out some foodie gifts and have made a humumgous list to make. Now searching on ebay for some kilner jars and bottles to compare with Lakeland prices

Ooooh nice gifts - this is my list to make! (Additional to the above in food hamper) All in nice jars with a brown luggage label attached if I can find any
    Vanilla Sugar
    Chritmas Spiced Salt
    Steeped Christmas Fruit
    Granola
    Marinated Feta
    Olives n' Pickles
Winter Spiced Vodka or Pomegrante Vodka
    Honeyed Fig Vinegar
    Sticky Gingerbread
    Christmas Chocolate Biscuits
    Panforte
    Peanut Brittle

Just wish I had a larger family circle to give away however I wil have one of everything for me!

I was tempted by the Jamie Oliver Range in Sainsbugs but I think I will get them for less what they are selling for now.

Great idea shevs, when i was in B&Ms at bellevue yesterday they had a black and white santa hat in that said Bar humbug on the band that would go good with the idea, if that helps. Think it was 99p

  • For those who do not pop into the Grabbit board Sainsburys have a instore and online sale starting tomorrow where ALL toys are half price. I have put my bits in my basket online already and will pop back on at 1am to see if they are half price! :D

People are saying things sell out instore very quickly (on the 1st day of sale) so i would recommend going tomorrow if you want anything.
