Hello all
I got quite a few bits at the weekend. Havent had chance to sort it all out and to start the hampers yet tho. Might have to be next week when the kids are back at school.
Welcome back Sarah. Glad you had a nice holiday.
Thanks Mum2One for the challenges. I have already done the kitchen cupboards one as i had a big monthly food shop delivered sat morning so friday went back thru and tidied the cupboards up, wrote inventorys etc..
The Bedroom one i am half way thru. I have done mine and my eldest dd but still got my youngest dd's to do.
Sunday morning i went to the cinema and saw Ice Age 3 (it was only 75p a ticket!) with my children. My eldest 2 wasnt to see Twilight New Moon when it comes out in a couple of weeks too.
98jdougl - How about the book called "how smart is your dog". I got it for my ex from my children a couple of Christmasses ago. It rates how clever your dog is by you doing some things with your dog. He had great fun with it. Stuff like put a dog biscuit under a cup (with the dog watching) and shuffle the cup around and see if your dog knows which cup.

Ragz - I brought Twas the night before Christmas book off Amazon last week for my Xmas eve hamper and received it today and its lovely.
Also got my 4 shoes boxes for charity finished this weekend and each of my children have written a letter or drawn a picture for their box. Just got to find a local drop off point now!

Hi all
Bit of a sleepless night last night so late getting up and felt I hadn't been to bed..............was only because OH was tossing and turning............he was asleep but kept me awake..............
More wrapping this morning.........decided to swap over one of sons shoe boxes...........more of a 'masculine' paper I'd covered it with and needed one for eldest sons girlfriend ............so that was just a swap over.
Got foster daughters all done and her OH's...........just need to fill up and finish off eldest sons girlfriends and I'm done :T
(Apart from copying the photos for little grandsons pooh bear album and making some changes to the story I'm writing for him .............last year it was about a Christmas Star,............this year its about a snowman..............:rotfl:-or will be when I've finished)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hello - I'm new here - happy organising everyone!
I just thought I would mention the following site, in case it is of any use to anyone (for inexpensive but good gifts, or for stocking stuffers etc): fivepoundgifts.co.uk0 -
Im about three months behind everyone at the moment so I did the first task that was set to defrost the freezer, I thought I better had as I could hear Celine Dione singing 'My Heart Will Go On' every time I opened it! And Ive had the bar of chocolate reward about 10 times over so thought Id better get the task out of the way......... It took 2 and a half hours, a can of anti-freeze and a hair dryer but the iceburg is now gone hurray!
Im looking forward to getting paid at the end of the month now so I can carry on with my Christmas shopping, Ive had so many good ideas from here that its going to be hard to be a money-saver, plus Im a very impulsive buyer, if I think Im getting a bargain I snap it up whether it is needed or not!0 -
I used to be the same for picking up barains lunar sea - what I have done is a list of what kind of things I want to buy everyone in a small notebook ie: brother: dog hamper, BIL: car hamper and the budget next to it so if I am buying something I have to know who it is for before I get to the cash register.
Bargains can be deceptive in that way - if you're not going to use it, no matter how good a buy it is still a waste of money.
If you are in the habit of it though you might have some previous bargains stashed away waiting to be used? Why not have a look through if so and see if any could be used this year.0 -
Hello all !
Been down town to collect new specs and about to try them out......... always hate that !
Managed to remember to get grandsons photos copied so this afternoon I can do his little pooh bear album, got some paper to cover couple of cheap diaries I was short of and that was it.
Comp. played up last night -don't know why........just kept saying 'bt home hub cannot connect'..........
Hope it stays ok today............I've pressed a button at the back when I switched it on and don't know what its for...............do I press it again to switch it off or leave it ? Oh I do wish I was more techie minded...................lol
Oh well..............off to the pva glue...........:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
