its very scary irishgirl! i dont think i would have the jab to be honest. Im hoping that Im not offered it just so I dont have to decide. Heard bad things about the general flu jab so I'll take my chances (dont even like antibiotics!)

oh djstar! that sounds so bad! hope everyone is well again soon - wasnt swine flu they had was it? :(

Well we did wonder but gp's are very funny when it comes to swine flu and wouldn't commit to an answer but at least they are all better now :)

Could some kind person be a star for me and copy and paste the xmas countdown 6 week plan into a private message on here? Every time I go on there I just keep getting a blank page  so annoying!

  • Phew!!!!

It has taken me 3 very long stints at the computer to get through the last 146 pages! Hubby was ignored for a long time on Monday night! Ha ha!

Thought i'd wait until i hit the end to post just to say thanks for all the good ideas - i'm in Fiji (been here 2 months for hubby's job) so have no clue when the shops (the few that there are) get chrismassy, have none of the bargain shops or supermarkets i'd have usually hit once a week by now. I gave away all my presents i had in 'stock' and refrained from buying bits from April hen hubby moved - did lots of cleaning and decluttering then but my freight with all my baking stuff and homely things arrived last week so have just finished sorting out!!

You are all doing really well - I always thought I was organised for xmas but you guys beat me hands down!! I too am a fully fledged (and ridiculed by friends and family) member of a list for all ocassion and any reason club!

I am about to make a batch of dough to settle down and have a bash at making some tee decorations (that's presuming I can get a tree here - oh dear!!). Thanks for all the blog links - loads of ideas there and you are all really creative - thanks for the inspiration!

Finally, sorry it's been a long post, I know its not personal but congrats on babies, pregnancies, jobs, promotions and bargains and i've been sorry to hear about the break-ups, redundancies and other bad news - you are a really good support network here!

A special thanks to Sarah (I think - apologies if it was someone else) for the Aussie jingle bells - have forwarded that to hubby to send to all the aussies he works with. I am trying to spread the xmas cheer in my house even tho its just me and hubby! I need to get a move on as I will be celebrating a whole 12 hours before you!!! (then reverting to Uk time to extend the celebrations ha ha!!).

Not only am I well organised for xmas at home, I've just organised my work teams xmas lunch:p Normally it takes a couple of formal meetings and a couple of informal chats to get them to make a decision but not this year! I've got them rounded up, date & time decided and deposits paid:rotfl:

The last 2 years a more democratic system was used and it was rubbish! So I put my Stalin moustache on and 'organised' them - (hope I've chosen well - actually, I was there last week and it was brilliant and very reasonably priced).

I never go to the office xmas party (too expensive) but I do enjoy the lunchtime get-together.

Bet they'll all be relieved when I retire!:D

Oops sorry, I've just realised that I've posted this on the wrong thread - sincere apologies

Me again! Boots are doing their £12 in points for every £50 you spend. There is also codes for extra points or £5 off a £50 spend.

I just got the Chanel coco mademoiselle perfume (which is never on offer ever ever) from £55 down to £50 with the code then got free delivery and £12 back in points.Very happy for £38, may ever get another as it is good value. More points for the sales :D

    Me again too :D

I have just come back from M+S for the Cava deal in this weeks email (runs until 3 Nov)

The deal is a bottle of Cava costs £7.49 or Asti £6.99

25% discount off 6 bottles plus buy 2 for 10

I bought 2 bottles of Extra Dry Cava, Medium Cava and Asti to make 6

    Total price £19.02 saving £23.96! :j

Makes the cost per bottle £3.17 opposed to £7.49/£6.99 :j

All set for Christmas and New Year and at least one to give as a present
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

Last one from me for a while regarding lower cost bargains (depending on your point of view) :o

Just ordered the wine plan from M+S website which is a 12 bottle mix of 6 red and 6 white for £39.99 delivered (£3.33 per bottle). They also do options of 12 red and 12 white. I've had these before and the selection has always been spot on esp for this price per bottle.

Then cancelled the plan straight away so I can have a look at the next intro offer which starts in November and lasts until Feb 10.

All drinks really are sorted now for the whole of Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb I would imagine with that many bottles. Still I like to take advantage of the seasonal offers and spread them out across the year and make them last as long as possible :D

I'll stop bugging you all now (and no, I don't work for M+S!)
