Hello all ...........plumbing sorted :T
Needed complete new set of mixer taps in the kitchen:eek: cost I know not till I get the bill.............don't really care though long as its all working ok...............:j
Rang hospital about OH's scan appt. -It's not till 29th October..........hoped it would be sooner than that - still, least now we know. He won't get to see anyone while he's there, have to wait for results..........hate the waiting for things like that. Thought it might perk him up a bit but doesn;t seem to have done. Don't think he'll feel right till this is all sorted out.
Oh well..........must keep trying to be 'normal' (if I remember what that is....:rotfl:)
Did recover notebook once plumber had gone...........its blank pages so would be ideal sketchbook for sons girlfriend..........even tied some ribbons round the ringbinder part...............and did matching bookmark:j
So, just logged on to see whats happening in the outside world...............:jI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi all, you're very welcome
Scattymam and cdsmiler, please be careful - if you do too much cleaning floors now they'll be too clean when you get to 40 weeks and floor scrubbing might help you bring on labour
Scattymam if you take an orange and a pack of cloves, poke the cloves into the orange in an interesting pattern and tie a ribbon around it so you can hang it, I think that's the extent of it.
I'm just being a greedy monster and ordering lots of Christmas chocolates - two emergency boxes to go with the two other emergency boxes I bought, one mint chocolate box, one Christmas box for us and the free one just because
After this I'm going to check out the Ann Summers sale :rotfl:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

3cheekyprincesses- I have epilepsy so does my son who's 35 now -have done since I was 11 (more years ago than I care to remember.......lol) Not sure what tests were done at the time, probably not half as many as would be now but the medication I'm on is ok, suits me, and apart from certain limitations (driving, swimming, and anything with flashing lights etc.) I've managed to carry on as normal, not free of seizures but least its controlled as much as it can be.
Best of luck with dd and appoinments -you know where I am....................:oI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I bought my daughter 3 of the Twilight books a while ago and bought the red edged special editions of them. I only paid about £3 each for them on Amazon. Thought I would have a look back on Amazon to see if the 4th book has come out yet in the red edge and saw the other 3 books are now selling at silly prices some over a £100 lol. Checked on Ebay and they are selling on there for quite a bit, not as much as on Amazon but still for over £20 a book. I was tempted to list the books and sell them and get her the normal ones instead as she wouldnt know any different lol but after about 30 seconds of thinking this I decided to stick with giving her the special editions seeing she is so special anyway. May be I will get her the normal ones too so she can put the red edged ones away and not get them tattered.0

rufusdog2 - If you were considering getting the normal set not sure how much they are on amazon but it was £9.99 on book people for the 30

Hello everyone, what a great thread! I should be revising but I am pretty side tracked now! Good to know that Im not the only person crazy on lists
Im pretty much done with present buying for my son (3) and I have a few books for my daughter so far (19 months) any ideas there? People generally all get books from me... I think theyre great presents but Ive always got my head in a book lol
Im hoping to make my xmas cake soon, and find some jars for the lovely chutney recipe on here (thankyou!). Im skint til next month so Ive got that awful 'omg so much to sort and no cash' feeling... Ive got a few presents for DP but am a bit stumped tbh!
What I really need are some ideas to make my house really Christmassy this year, every year I try but I feel its lacking in something! Prob an open fire lol But again any ideas need to be on the cheap, I figured if I can get some ideas now then Ive got a bit of time to work with them. I like making orange pomanders, so I'll be doing some of them!
Really want to start wrapping but have yet to buy tags, wrap, sellotape etc
Know that revising feeling I've got an exam on Tuesday, my 1st exam in 21 years.......... what are you studying? I'm aiming for a BAHons Business with the Open Unixx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
