    Morning everyone.

I was searching Ebay for anything to do with Twilight (my daughter is mad on it) and found a nice bracelet with charms like I had made my sisters but it had these mini photo frames attatched with photos of the cast. Well I cant be beaten so searched Ebay again for the photo frame charms and found a set of 4 for just over £1 so now daughter has a twilight bracelet as another extra birthday present (just have to print the photos out to put in the frames as she is here so will wait till monday when shes gone to school).

Also found some rice paper cup cake toppers with Edward Cullen photo on them (£1.99 inc pp) so she will be having twilight cup cakes instead of a big birthday cake as I am sure she will want to take some in for her friends the next school day.

Just going to have a look at the new blog and see how to join etc, very exciting.

Ooh yes I meant to say if anyone wants to add anything to the blog, wants to be an author, or hasn't got a clue what they are doing but has an idea to add e-mail thriftygifty@hotmail.co.uk and I can either add you to be an author OR add your idea for you :)

Jammy the blog looks great :j I had to sign up to Scribd to get the spreadsheet but it was very straightfoward, very good spreadsheet too :)

Thanks Hayley. I thought it was just me again so I didn't want to say anything. Going to have a look to sign up to this scribd thing. Jammy(can I call you Jammy too?) the blog looks brilliant and will be so helpful, thank you.
Mum2one nothing unusual lurking in the freezer here. I still haven't had my treat yet though or watched my dvd. I've been quite busy so I've promised myself that I'll do that tomorrow.
Sylphraven, hoping your son is feeling better today, love and best wishes to you both.
rufusdog, bracelet sounds fantastic, would love to see a pic when it's finished.

Looks like dd's holiday will be a week early as swine flu has hit her school - they are telling people not to panic but with being pregnant I can't take that risk as will be at higher risk of complications, hoping it's not the case but looks like it is so I am avidly working on my summer holiday list of rainy and dry activities... ordered a mister maker dvd and jolly phonics books 1-7 cos I found a cheap book on amazon for my dad's birthday he would love so needed to order something else for free delivery. But that's about all I can spend - everything else needs to cost nowt or literally pennies. Very glad I've been getting so organised for christmas and baby cos it's gonna be a looonnggg summer...!!!
don't really want to go to kiddies play areas or parks or anything either as there are two schools in our town that have closed already because of swine flu...
it's gonna be a lot of crafting and playing in the garden for a bit I think...actually found some gold tissue paper amongst my stash that I can use for presents along with my saved ribbon, so just need like a roll of black for the men's gifts, and some cheap as chips kids wrap

well, aint just the kiddies- I have been quarantined. The kids I nanny for had confirmed swine flu thought I was fine- bit of a sore throat yesterday, had the aching legs that you get with the flu this morning and now have been napping all day and fevery and lovely and sweaty etc booo! was going to go see ice age 3 this evening as well, will just have to download it now

Have done a little bit more knitting, just a couple of rows at a time but am def making progress which is good. Am slow, only just learning/learned but will hopefully pick up the speed and be able to do a couple of scarfs for christmas presents (with some kemps wool, is very exciting lol)
Still cutting up fat quarters for patchwork and have a load to do and a load still to arrive but will hopefully get to the planning stage soon

I'll infect you all somehow muahahahahaha :P

It just feels like a normal flu to be honest, just going to lie down rather than fight it which is what I usually do when I am ill.

If you are worried might be worth a call to the docs. I was on extra alert because I was in such close contact and because I am working with a 6-month old who is just recovering from chicken pox, my OH's mum works on an old folks home and my best mates mum (who I see about 3 times a week) works with bab
    ies lol

is proper flu, thought is was just a cold a few days ago, but this has completely floored me- am only awake for about 3 hours at a time before getting exhausted and not even doing anything with those 3 hours to tire me out
