You'll be looking forward to getting him then. We have 2 dogs- belong to OH's brother who lives with us.

Don't know if many people on here knit or not but after I finish the scarf what kind of easy thing would be best to progress onto next?

    Morning all,
going to get some more of my scarf knitting today and hopefully a chunk of cross stitch.
Going to set me a challenge to be ready to start sewing the patchwork by santa's challenge day and have a quarter the cross stitch done.
Does anyone else set themselves personal challenges?

    Morning All

Hope everyone whose been poorly is feeling better today, Hugs to you all.

Mum2one - I'm sure Pets at Home sell doggy nappys LOL... along with all the other OTT stuff they sell.

Well I've been really busy and got another busy day ahead, got loads to get done, I have started a shopping list of things I need to buy for pressie making over the hols, and have made a start on Choccys Challenge got a few ideas ready, just need to get them to gel together now. Getting a bit behind with everything else mind you, and got loads of half finished jobs that I need to get done this week.

Well I'm off for another Coffee before I do the tip with the mounds of rubbih that I need to get rid of.

    Catch you all later

We need to go to the tip too, not sure if we wil go today. Been sorting our garden out ready for OH's birthday party next month. Have a mound of other jobs that need doing before too. Have made a list and we are gradually crossing them off but others keep appearing on the bottom so list still seems as long.

We have a wooden shelter in the garden (which I built myself) with plastic corrugated roof and wanted to put one of those reed screens under neath it for a bit of shade. Found otu in Wilkinsons that they had alll been reduced so got it nearly half price. Hoping some more of the garden bits will be reduced too.

Havent got round to doing the two freezers yet but might have a go tomorrow when OH goes back to work.

I would like to clear up some confusions!
    • If you want to VIEW the blog, you don't need to do anything other than visit thriftygifty.blogspot.com

    • If you want to FOLLOW the blog, you need a blogger account

    • If you want to BE A BLOG AUTHOR (e.g. write posts) you need to have (a) a blogger account and (b)e-mail thriftygifty@hotmail.co.uk stating your MSE username and e-mail address. I am happy to add anyone who has obviously used this thread, but to protect against spam, I won't be adding anyone whos MSE name I don't recognise (and I'll recognise most even if you only post occasionally). Can't take the risk of having an "unknown" loose on the blog just yet, I'm sure you understand why.

    • TWITTER - If you have a twitter account you can follow ThriftyGifty BUT if you don't have a twitter account, you don't need one as all the updates are automatically linked to the blog. Tweeting was set up for my quick convenience, as it is shorter than writing a post and all in one place
    Any other confusions e-mail!! :D

Got the wilkos right ptice scrapbook someone mentioned earlier (sorry forgot who :o) but didn't really know what to do with it at the time (I know tsk, tsk)
Have now come up with 2 ideas so need to buy another lol

Firsty, turn it into a christmassy themed journal jar type thing for my OH to record everything about christmas (Maybe give it to him on the first day of advent with questions to last up until the twelfth night all about his feelings aout christmas, what he likes about it, what traditions he wants to keep etc etc) Am really getting him into Christmas- last year was our first christmas together and we went to my mums and he said it was the first time in like 15 years he had looked forward to Christmas (his family dont even get a tree) and, much as I love being at my mums at Christmas is just too much expense and effort so this will be our first Christmas at home together. Any ideas on questions??

Secondly- when doing a clear out of the house have found 3 boxes full drawings from when Ben (OH) and his siblings were at primary school (bearing in mind the youngest sibling is now 21!!!) Am planning on making a scrapbook with these pictures for Ben's mum to go into her hamper (family theme)

What do you think? Also, what would be the best way to cover these? Dont know if just wrapping paper would be enough

Thanks for reading btw, sorry its a bit rambley
