Well my freezer is super full so cant really defrost it (been meaning to for a while) but will make sure and empty it and defrost it before the next shop.
I picked up a little A6 noteook in wilkos today and I am keeping a note of individual items I need to buy people in there and the theme of their hamper so I can keep that on me- have everyone organised into a couple of big lever arch folders with what exactly I am doing them.
As well as doing that to keep everyone up to date (and myself) today I have been cutting up some fat quarters into 4x4" squares for patchwork, have currently got about 150 squares. Have also done a little bit of knitting and am in the process of making a photobook from the freebies off for OH. So not doing too badly. Also ordered some more bits and bobs and paid for outstanding things on ebay so lots of parcels to look forward to I hope.
Think that's about itdid feel like a lot more though lol.
Hows everyone getting on today?0 -
Don't think I'm as organised as you lot..........
I've got a little notebook and write everything I get from the charity shops (my main christmas buys are from there) with the price -always important, then every little while I go through it and work out who's having what.
Bits I'm concocting (can hardly say crafting) I've printed off the internet and keep in an A4 folder, one of the thin plastic type. Got stuff from last year that I did - good reminder.
I've always had a christmas card list to work from so I'm sorted there (I think).
Like the idea of jamtarts swapping of documents - just been trawling through Microsoft Office on new computer (still finding my way around this machine) and theres quite a few sheets on there for organising stuff.
You are all very busy............keep at it . I've set myself a target to have Christmas all in hand by the end of August so I can relax a bit more...........I think this year I might just make it.:jI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I've now got a lovely tidy, ice free freezer, yay!
Off topic, could you all please remind me not to tempt fate! After a phone call to shropdoc after ds1s temp rocketed I've been told he may just have a fever, or it might be swine flu, so he's been given the medicine as a precaution as we have a 2 year old in the house. So I'm sure theres going to be lots of pig jokes made in our house over the next few days. You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
sylphraven - oh dear..........hope everything goes ok and its not the dreaded swine flu. Suppose they have to be careful just in caseI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Just wanted to say I have a free mind and will now be concentrating fully on the challenges ahead, sorry if I haven't been myself the last few weeks but all is sorted and onwards and upwards as they sayRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Where abouts in shropshire are you? I know that's it hit quite a few places in shrewsbury, docs are saying that there aint much point in quarantining it for much time (used to be a week, now 3 days) because it's a;ready rampant. The 2 year old boy i nanny for had it, having just gotten over the chicken pox, were really worried for his little brother as well but they are out of quarantine already.]sorry its off topic.
on topic: have done the photo ook for oh full of photos of the two of us with love quotes underneath- i know, vomit inducing lol0 -

Hi All,
Since the thrifty threads are so flippin' fab and everyone is so excited with talk of sheets, folders and giftys, I thought "why not have somewhere for people to exchange documents" and really good ideas that you want as a reference point (rather than trawling through pages of festive natter!- which is brilliant by the way!!:T)
So, I unveil the Thrifty Gifty Blog! http://thriftygifty.blogspot.com/ - a great reference point with links to the important posts on here (see Quick Links on the side bar), links to other ideas, anddocuments to download.
Anyone can be an "author" and write posts on there, you just need to have a blogger account, and e-mail the blog at thriftygifty@hotmail.co.uk for me to add you. It is not my blog, it is our blog
However, to get us started, I have amended my spreadsheet, and made it hopefully user-friendly and added it on there for you to download. I HAVE tested it and it downloads fine for me (see instructions on blog) BUT I don't know if that is because I have a scribd account. Sooooo if someone could "beta" test it for me and see if it downloads OK I would be much obliged.
I hope you like this idea and would like to hear of anything else that you think would be useful to have on there (I am going to add a list of linked review sites and cashback sites for people to get to quickly too).
And I found a fab idea for gifts this morning and put a link on there too. It is for home made candles in jars ! They are gorgeous!!!
Ok guys, well hope you like it:A
PS - And just to be uber-cool - we also can "tweet" via twitter and it updates on the blog. Super cute!
ETA - I was going to suggest we could design our own download sheets, sheets similar to those at organisedchristmas but a UK version, but I have noted a lot of people already download them from organised, so maybe not such a good idea.
Jamtart that is just sooo fab well done you :T I have only just joined on here but can't wait to get started...am struggling this week as my littluns are poorly, but I am going to get myself a folder sorted over the weekend and start getting it together...I went on organized christmas and its great but I was struggling to work out what to print off (albeit I didn't have a great deal of time) but the blog will really help to condense everything.....Thanks again you are :AStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000
