  • Hi All

    Also managed to pick up some little bits for ben - click together ben 10 figures - were meant to be £5 each but they were reduced to £2.50 each and there's two aliens in each pack so got those for him - possibly for his stocking.

    x x x x

    Could I ask where you found these as one of my mindees loves Ben 10 and I try to spend only £5 on each child so these will be ideal

  • I LOVE the challenge this month!! I am a bit behind on some things, but have gotten a few extra ideas from those kits for things to organise.

    I was in Boots at lunch - getting a new bath mat for shower downstairs (we'd put the old one from proper bath there on a "temporary basis", en route to bin, 2 years ago when we built that bathroom and it was grimey and mouldy then!).

    But they had a BOGOF on all batteries except 4+4's. Which may be useful for the current task and getting stocked up for any toys that may need batteries!! (As I rarely see them, I got 2 square batteries for the smoke alarms, as we had to replace one recently and the other should be due to replace very shortly). I am going to check my stocks of other batteries tonight, and go back tomorrow for any others I need.

    I've only got two pay packets left until Christmas:eek: i'm a bit shocked by that:D
    Nevertheless i've been shopping online and all my OH's family are practically sorted ;) Have an idea of what i'm getting everyone else i need to buy for. There are so many things in my wishlist on amazon, for people i still need to buy for.
    Was given a £20 Debenhams voucher by a lady at work as a thank you for looking after her mum before she died, so i am tucking that away for someone ;)

    I can't believe how organised we all are, the vouchers are coming rolling in, the presents choosen or being planned, and its 88 days to Christmas, 3 more Santas Challenges, yep we have Christmas Eve, but ladies I won't be that mean I promise, and I will release it before Christmas Eve, just be a little one....

    Nannyboo - they were in Mr T's. They have a fair few bits and pieces on offer and some cheap baby toys in there too if any of your mindees are small.

    Well I managed to get a bti of my festive groove back yesterday, went out to pay bills and walked past a charity shop and low and behold sat in the window was 'the snowman' book - 49p later i am now the proud owner and it will be going into Bens Xmas eve hamper.

    also wanted to mention anyone with a home bargains near them - was in there yesterday too and they are selling a large book of 15 Christmas stories for £1.99 i think. Could be god if you have littlies you want to either get festive or gift too.

    Also thank you to whoever mentioned the blue screw organiser boxes - wanted to do my step brother a sweetie box but could only find pink for the girls!
    Time to find me again
  • I don't know if any of you lovely people can help. Hubby used to love those big tubes of orange smarties but you could only ever get them from Woolworths. We've seen pink ones, but it's the orange ones he likes. I've never seen them anywhere else. Has anyone seen them anywhere??

    Thanks!

  • Okay I am going to have to admit to a brain dead moment. I want to join in the Secret Santa but have to admit I am not sure if I understand it properly so here goes am I right in thinking this is what I am too do

    I choose three things worth £10 based on the ideas I am given for that person

    1 = bag worth £9.99
    2 = make up worth £5 + make up worth £5
    3 = cross stitch set worth £9.99

    Then I send the catalogue numbers for that person - to who?

    Someone sends me the catalogue numbers for me (and I don’t cheat and look up on the site what they are) and I pass them to hubby and he goes and buys it and wraps it up with tag saying from secret santa for under the tree.

    If I am right please add me to the Secret Santa Challenge if not help can someone explain it to me in simple terms - sorry for being so thick
