Mum2one can I join the Santa's Challenge please? May get my OH to do it with me as he is rubbish at buying presents so I usually choose my own, which is nice but I miss getting a surprise present! Does mean the effort of going into Argos though, not sure he could handle that lol!
Fab idea though, it now all makes sense...

MumtoOne can i suggest a Xmas morning Kit too Rubbish Sack for the er rubbish, Batteries for toys / gifts, Screwdriver phillips, normal and dinky size one) for putting batteries in the Toys / Gifts. It is easier to have it in a box ready rather then trying to find thr right size / shape screwdrivers Crimbo morning when the kids all want batteries put in their toys. Any any other ideas to put in gthe kit.......

Massive thank you, added it onto the challenge, and done it in pink, a princess colour!

Bet your household looks like Santas grotto!

We have to put the tree in the hall, as Bailey, still a pup, runs round 100 to the dozen...we'd be picking it up every night. x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hi Ragz
Added you to our lovely list on post 1, know that one with men + Argos, when my dd was at nursery, she thought we lived in a place called Argos,... I was always getting the bargains.

Men -Thurs DDs swimming lessons, mum took her was studying!! (catching 40 winks), dad drove so asked him to call into Boots to do the phone top ups, (to make it easier - cards alike)
I'm on £15 top up plan - put sticker on my card top up date and £15
Mum + dd there on £5 top up plan - again little sticker on each.

He got there, but didnt know he could hand over the 3 cards at one time did each transaction seperately.

    re - your hubby-
we could be very naughty and you tell him the thread says that husbands have to spend £10 on their wives as a surprise - if he pipes up its not a surprise you've told me, you could casually tell him to get 2 sets of presents of your 3 choices (1 secret santa, 1 of him), we won't tell him!!
    xx

Carrots in White wine and honey

that just reminded me of glazed carrots

cut carrots julienne style (small and thin is best) add in a good bit of butter and honey and a small amount of water, cook on medium until the water is gone, it will reduce down and the carrots will be soft when finished

i don't even like cooked carrots and i love this, in fact we'll fight over these in my house so i'm sure a 7 year old would enjoy these, mine sure does!
  • could you please add me for the santas challenge?
  • Lovely £10 challenge mum2one! Little thing - can you change my name on the front page please? I sound like I'm off to my windmill.... hehe

I'll adapt the other part of the challenge a little bit what with baby due in the middle of December and us not being at home on Christmas day, but there's some fab ideas there! Will be writing them down in my perminant Christmas note book (one I'm intending to refer back to year after year for ideas!).

    Thanks mum2one!!

I have 4 children and they each have 1 design of paper (different from the other 3) so that i dont have to put a gift tag on every single presnt i know whose is whose by the paper design. Otherwise i would have to write out 100's of tags

Thats a brilliant idea, sorry I am going to have to be cheeky, and borrow that idea, as my darling mother!!! goes through the presents, sees whats her and then opens and reseals, apparently shes been doing it since a kid!

Just a thought after reading Clares post, is there are more baby news, we can add to the front page, I know we've got our 1st junior "baby Sugarspun", or is that a question we should be asking in January! x

  • Morning all.

Thanks Mum2One for adding the Xmas morning Kit. Good idea about the camera too :T

I have been to wilkinsons this morning (buy my puppy a bed some more toys and blankets! He is sooooooo spoilt! :p) and they had all their crimbo stuff out! Love it :D

Also treated myself to a Belgian Bun. Left it on the coffee table whilst i popped back to the kitchen to grab my drink and come back into the front room to see my 18 month old dd and our puppy sitting on the floor together sharing my Belgian bun :o Olivia my DD was breaking bits of and feeding it to him! Didnt know whether to laugh or cry

I am off now to sort out my Kits for the new Santa Challenges and see what i have and what i need! Great ideas Mum2One.
